Sethdavid's Top 10 Of 2013

These are my top 10 albums of 2013. Kind of a disappointing year. Albums I enjoyed this year that didn't make the cut are: Arcade Fire - Reflektor Born Ruffians - Birthmarks Cloud Cult - Love Local Natives - Hummingbird Lorde - Pure Heroine The Love Language - Ruby Red Panic! At The Disco - Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die Wall Of Ears - Perfect Organ Assembly UUVVWWZ - the trusted language
10Justin Timberlake
The 20/20 Experience

Because Pt.1 killed it (in the good way) as a pop/r&b album. Pt.2 blew.
9Tim Kasher
Adult Film

I wish this was my #1 album of the year, because I love Tim Kasher. Putting "Life
and Limbo" and "Lay Down Your Weapons" in the middle of this album absolutely kills
it (in the bad way). I'd rather those two songs just went away forever and it was
an eight track album.
8Vampire Weekend
Modern Vampires of The City

Quite probably their best work to date
7Darwin Deez
Songs For Imaginative People

First track alone basically guarantees this albums place in my top 10 of the year.
6Haim
Days Are Gone

Earwormz
5Foals
Holy Fire

Foals are p good, no doubt, though I have found with this release as I did with
Total Life Forever that I WANT to like it more than I actually do. It's weird.
4Telekinesis
Dormarion

Accessible, catchy, interesting.
3Charli XCX
True Romance

I like me some good pop music. This is really good pop music.
2James Blake
Overgrown

So well done, makes me feel feelings.
1Baths
Obsidian

One of the very few albums I listened to this year that seemed to have a lot of
feeling behind it. Musically amazing, lyrically amazing, makes me excited for the
future of Baths.
