Top 10 Most Overrated Albums

Albums: They can get overrated for no reason. The album may not suck, but it certainly doesn't deserve the praise they get.
1 Pearl Jam
EVERY ALBUM

What may seem like a secret bias towards Pearl Jam, I never liked them. To me, they were boring. The vocals were annoying. I like a song here and there like Jeremy, Alive, Black and Do the Evolution, but damn. All their albums get praised for how amazing they are, and I either fall asleep or do that thing where you don't pya attention to the music.
2Queens of the Stone Age
Era Vulgaris

QOTSA: A band that had the potential to be my generation's Nirvana, Era Vulgaris brought the worst out of the band. And when I say band, I mean Josh Homme. This is a really bad record. Lullabies to Paralyze was decent, especially after the firing of Nick Oliveri, but damn is this poor! Homme tries to hard to create new guitar sounds. Good thing I didn't believe the hype the magazines were saying about the album.
3 Radiohead
Kid A / Amnesiac

Radiohead. Early work for me is tolerable, but that stopped after OK Computer. The band is now slower than molasses and is boring as sitting in church. Why is this stuff getting praised? The only Radiohead fans I know are college liberals who use macs.
4Metallica
Death Magnetic

They were expecting us long Metallica fans to just accept them. Yes, they sound a lot closer to what they used to sound like before the Black Album. No, it's nothing remotely good to what Ride the Lightening was. James can't sing anymore, Kirk's solos are lacking any punch, Lars drumming is so monotonous and why is Robert Trujillo in the band? Metallica can't use him well.
5 Sex Pistols
Never Mind the Bollocks, Here's the Sex Pistols

I'm sick of all these "inspirational" punk bands getting credit for the talentless crap they put out years ago. I like a few hardcore groups, but please stop praising an album you say inspires you, yet you sound nothing like them.
6Tool
10,000 Days

Tool had been lacking this past decade. Releasing only 2 albums, neither of which were anything as good as the 1993 Undertow or the 1996 Aenima. They lacked that "metal" sound on their earlier releases, and it seems Tool has just lost their mind.
7Stone Temple Pilots
Core

Meh. STP were never my favorite 90's bands, but their debut was terrible. Many critics agree that overall, despite a few classic songs, it was a below average release. But sites are still treating it like royalty.
8Green Day
American Idiot

Green Day were a fairly decent pop punk band. We all thought we heard the last of them back in 2000, but they come back with American Idiot. I do personally hate this album, and it's insane how much publicity it got.
9Red Hot Chili Peppers
Stadium Arcadium

Once funk rock/alternative rock heroes, the band has resorted to bland radio songs with little of their funky spirit,
10Nirvana
In Utero

A controversial choice, it's not a bad album, but critics act like this album is the best thing ever recorded. It in no way rivals Nevermind. (no fanboyism intended)
