SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | hahaha, no, I do still love most of these records. As I did say above. |
Metalstyles
12.13.09 | another good nu metal list! 1,6,10,12,13 are all good in my book. 9 I don't like much. 2 - 6 + 8 I haven't heard. 15 I don't remember much. 14 was pretty great from what I remember, gonna spin it tomorrow again if I can find it from my library. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | I love the deftones still to this day. I love all of their records. They are different from most nu metal acts. Amen is awesome. I am actually listening to 15 right now, hahaha. It is really good! |
Deviant.
12.13.09 | Uh, where's White Pony?
And L.D 50 for that matter |
Curse.
12.13.09 | COPYCAT |
Curse.
12.13.09 | and not having Cold on there is awful |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | hahaha, hey. I figured that we should all do it. Well, I would have put all of deftones albums on here. And Mudvayne wasn't one of my favorites, but it is a good album. |
Metalstyles
12.13.09 | haha I actually have never heard any Deftones records in full. Will get White Pony and Around The Fur sometime in the near future. Might also refresh my memory of Sevendust while I'm at it! |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | Lajon does have an awesome voice, it's just after Animosity, I stopped giving a fuck about Sevendust, but I will never forget how much they influenced me in my teen years. |
Deviant.
12.13.09 | Metalstyles: You get onto Deftones now son!!
Steel: Seasons is a damn good album though |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | If I find myself getting in the mood to check out more Sevendust I will, doesn't that album have Sonny Mayo on guitar? |
Deviant.
12.13.09 | Nah, it was the last before Clint left.
Sonny did Next and Alpha, then Clint returned for Chapter 7 |
Relinquished
12.13.09 | Home is their best. I mean damn, Rumble Fish rules. |
XulOnerom
12.13.09 | Isn't Amen more punk than nu metal???
Anyway, kudos for having Nothingface, one of the best and most underrated nu metal bands |
Emim
12.13.09 | Very decent list. I would include:
Mudvayne
POD
Disturbed
Rage Against the Machine
Nonpoint (looking at you Styles)
|
wutangpootang
12.13.09 | List needs Snot imo
Nothingface rules |
Curse.
12.13.09 | Dry Kill Logic's first album is great too, completely forgot about that one |
wutangpootang
12.13.09 | WOW my bad list already has Snot. Completely missed it, good choice very underrated |
Yazz_Flute
12.13.09 | I don't consider 10 nu-metal. but it fucking rules. |
Jips
12.13.09 | song mudshovel owns... |
Powerban
12.13.09 | Second Dry Kill Logic, Also add Spineshank. Get rid of Life Is Peachy and put KoRns self-titled as well. |
wutangpootang
12.13.09 | I prefer Slipknot's self titled to 13 but they're both good |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.13.09 | I actually like Korn's Life is Peachy, I love the raw sound on it more and the darker melodies in it. Spineshank and Dry Kill Logic aren't really what I listened to. I mean these are the albums I really liked. And most of them I still like to this day. I don't really listen Korn, Staind, Sevendust, or Limp Bizkit anymore, but those album helped me get into harder stuff. Deftones and Nothingface what I really still like a lot. And even Snot is still cool. |
Powerban
12.13.09 | Yeah what I meant say is that I agree with you on the nu-metal getting me into other stuff and that I listened to all these bands as well.
I'd just have Spineshank and Dry Kill in here. Even Digimortal is good by nu-metal standards, not so much Fear Factory standards, but still. |
72haha72
12.13.09 | Good List! 4 & 10 are two of my all-time favorite albums
1,2,3,5,7 are also really good
9,11 & 14 are by far their best albums
12 is very underrated... great drumming and a few great tracks
I don't like 13 as much as I did 7 years ago
I've never heard 6,8 & 15 |
Willie
12.13.09 | A list like this need Flaw and 40 Below Summer's debuts. |
theacademy
12.14.09 | http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xoLRsy01-s0 |
Asiatic667
12.14.09 | 345
And I like Sevendusts singles |
Wizard
12.15.09 | ALOT of good stuff on here. I wouldn't exactly say that Soulfly is nu-metal but they do carry some aspects to them. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.15.09 | Yeah, there were just certain qualities on this album that had nu metal moments. Especially the Fred Durst track, of course. |
Wizard
12.15.09 | And anywhere when he yells "fuck" in a childish way....wait a minute? |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.15.09 | hahahaha. |
Wizard
12.15.09 | Childish lyrics come with the nu-metal territory. |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.15.09 | well, if you were abused, hurt, don't like people in general as a child, we must discuss these topics. |
Wizard
12.15.09 | I believe I thought I could relate to nu-metal lyrics when I was in high school but then I grew up. |
Curse.
12.15.09 | Wait? There are emotions besides anger??? THIS PISSES ME OFF |
SteelErectedb4you8er
12.15.09 | That's why I still like Nothingface and Deftones. Their lyrics aren't about those topics, they actually put some thought into their lyrics. And the music is actually good. I mean, even some of the other artists up here. I CANT HANDLE MORE THAN ONE EMOTION! |
Wizard
12.15.09 | On Violence, Nothingface did a song about looking through a serial killers eyes. Fucking awesome. |
