06.06.10 My Favorite Albums Of The 2000's

My Favorite Albums Of The 2000's

My favorite albums of the 2000's as I see it on 6/6/10.
The Everglow

I cannot begin to describe what this album has meant to me. It's been the soundtrack to my life for the past 5 years. It carries so many memories. So many emotions. So many thing that make me feel more alive.
2Life In Your Way
Waking Giants

This is essential number 1b. The sound of this album is as heavenly as a hardcore album can sound. Some of my favorite things about it are the passion, the beautiful guitar lines, the skilled musicianship, and the worshipful nature of the album.

This album contains many of my favorite songs.
4 All the Day Holiday
The Things We've Grown To Love

The tone of this album is breathtaking in it's beauty.
5Dead Poetic
New Medicines

Well done song after well done song, all the way til the end.
6Jimmy Eat World

Darker yet emotional and catchy music.

I was never much of a post-metal fan until this album.
8 Luna Halo

An old favorite.

I don't listen to this style of music much anymore, but this album is still very enjoyable.
10Project 86
Songs To Burn Your Bridges By (re-release)

With this album Project 86 began their reign as my favorite band for a few years.
A Moment of Imperfect Clarity

Another album full of catchy and well written songs.
(m)orning [EP]

If this was a full length album it very well could've been a top 5 album for me.
13Further Seems Forever
The Moon Is Down

All around solid album.
Failure On

An almost half and half mix of emo and hardcore that somehow works.
15 Lucerin Blue
Tales of The Knife

There's a chance that if I heard this album today for the first time it may not be as appealing, but there's a familiarity with the songs that make it still very enjoyable for me.
The Artist In The Ambulance

I bought this album on a whim when it came out and fell in love.
17As Cities Burn
Come Now Sleep

The lyrics make this album for me, but the music is also wonderful.
No Name Face

Possibly the first album where I felt that I truly related with a lot of the songs. A bit of a guilty pleasure, I guess.
19Deas Vail
All The Houses Look The Same

Great songs. Great instrumentation.
Never Take Friendship Personal

This album didn't grow on me until after Cities was released, but now I think it a very strong album.
