| Death Metal Digs | 1 | Darkseid
Formed sometime during the early to mid 90's, Darkseid was a French death metal band that only released one demo called 'The Three Mothers'. Strangely enough the demo was a concept album based on Dario Argento's Suspiria/Inferno. Musically these play a form of death metal with slight thrash and avant-garde tinges. | 2 | Sectioned
Formed in 2006, Sectioned are a British Death metal band. In 2006 they released the 'Elme' demo which was pretty competent old school inspired death metal, but it wasn't until this year they finally caught their stride with their full-length 'Purulent Reality '. Although mostly crushing death metal, sometimes they include some pretty good melodic sections that bring some nice variety. | 3 | Electrocution
Electrocution was an Italian death metal that never really quite got the attention they deserved. Their first and only full-length 'Inside The Unreal' is an undisputed classic; playing old school death metal with a higher level of technical proficiency, these guys could literally play circles around most of their contemporaries. | 4 | Reactor
Reactor was Swiss death metal band that released one demo 'The Tribunal Above' before changing names and become Sickening Gore. Pretty much just excellent, straight-up old school death metal. | 5 | Cerekloth
Hailing from Denmark, Cerekloth has only released on demo 'Pandemonium Prayers'. They sound kind of like and old school death metal (new school death metal?) band that really know how to write some cool riffs. | |
