Falling under the dreading contributor curse, I took a 3 month sabbatical from writing to deal with personal issues that as of this upcoming week will finally be resolved. Currently sitting in Starbucks and brainstorming for my next review, but in the meantime I'm going to rank one of my favorite bands. Cradle catches a lot of flak, and admittedly based on their image, sometimes it seems well deserved. Musically, they've certainly had their missteps, but overall their career has been defined by a string of excellent metal releases that traverse everything from NWOBHM harmonies, bleak and barren black metal soundscapes, and blood-splattered gothic suites. | | 1 |  | Cradle of Filth
