Hans.fm

So my Last.FM is pretty awesome. 1683 artists, so yeah I like pretty much every form of music with a few exceptions. This is my top 50 artists after being a member for about a year. This is not 100% accurate of my tastes, as I haven't listened to alot of stuff that I traditionally have my whole life, but its pretty close.
1Iron Maiden
The Number of the Beast

Maiden is not my favorite band, but is #1 for two reasons: 1, they rule, 2, at my other job there are like 3 ravenous Maiden fanboys and I always DJ for them and they are always screaming for MOAR Maiden.
2Clutch
Blast Tyrant

If you don't like them, you're an idiot and don't have a clue what manly rock n roll is.
3The Hold Steady
Boys and Girls in America

I love this band so much I can barely stand it.
4The Gaslight Anthem
Sink or Swim

The '59 Sound has made its way into my top 10 all-time albums.
5Johnny Cash
At Folsom Prison

If last.fm had my whole lifetime of listening chronicled, Johhny would have roughly 5,000 plays.
6Metallica
Ride the Lightning

Easily my most all-time listened to band.
7 Guns N' Roses
Appetite for Destruction

Appetite is probably my most all-time listened to album, because it is my favorite.
8AC/DC
Powerage

Like this is a surprise.
9The National
High Violet

I go in spurts with them where I just listen to nothing else at all.
10Led Zeppelin
Led Zeppelin II

Like Chuck Klosterman said, any person that owns a set of testicles has had a huge Zeppelin phase at one point or another.
11Bruce Springsteen
Born to Run

I've said all I need to say about the Boss.
12Mac Lethal
The Original 11:11 Sessions

New discovery, Mac rules.
13Radiohead
OK Computer

I hated them for years, obviously I saw the light a few years back.
14The Beatles
Abbey Road

Duh
15Nick Drake
Pink Moon

I think I've decided that Pink Moon is the best folk album ever and thats hard to say cause I've fapped over Blood on the Tracks for 15 years.
16Drive-by Truckers
Southern Rock Opera

3 singers, 3 guitars. Mix of Southern Classic Rock, Alternative Country, and straight up country. Band rules bigtimehard.
17The Rolling Stones
Sticky Fingers

Duh (2)
18Frightened Rabbit
The Midnight Organ Fight

I'm continually surprised at how much I like these guys cause alot of their stuff is kind of faggy but it still rules hard.
19Atmosphere
God Loves Ugly

Minnesota ftw
20Hammock
Raising Your Voice... Trying to Stop an Echo

The primary reason this is on here as I chose this to be my daughter's "sleep" album, but I can't deny its pretty fucking gorgeous.
212Pac
Me Against the World

for my whole life Pac would be in the top 5 probably.
22Black Sabbath
Paranoid

Duh (3)
23In Flames
Colony

Melodic Death Metal fucking destroys Death Metal
24Kings of Leon
Only By the Night

Fuck it, I love this band.
25Kyuss
Blues for the Red Sun

Should have gotten into them a long, long ass time ago.
26Volbeat
Rock the Rebel/Metal the Devil

Rules hard. That is all. For more Ive reviewed them twice.
27Black Label Society
Sonic Brew

yeah yeah yeah
28Latterman
No Matter Where We Go...!

I've whored this band/album out so much and won't stop until it hits 100 ratings.
29Alexisonfire
Watch Out!

Watch Out! and Crisis are fucking awesome.
30Third Eye Blind
Third Eye Blind

Only this low because I've listened to this album approximately 2,376 times in my life.
31Ray Charles
The Genius Sings the Blues

I've always loved Ray, gets a bump for my recent soul kick.
32Down
NOLA

Might be the manliest album ever
33Eminem
The Marshall Mathers LP

Can't resist Shady.
34Against Me!
Reinventing Axl Rose

Shit, I even like the new album.
35Pearl Jam
Ten

Nostalgia.
36Outkast
Stankonia

And climbing, fast.
37The Bouncing Souls
The Gold Record

See latterman, Gaslight Anthem, etc
38Def Leppard
Pyromania

You're God Damn Right.
39Deftones
Diamond Eyes

Should prolly listen to them more
40Creedence Clearwater Revival
Willy and the Poor Boys

Historically, this is much much higher.
41Verse
Aggression

Definitely a hardcore novice but this album fucking rules hard.
42Alabama Thunderpussy
Staring At The Divine

Manly Metal.
43Weezer
Hurley

Yeah yeah yeah
44Pink Floyd
The Division Bell

Historically is much higher. Except for their prog/wank fest albums.
45Thin Lizzy
Jailbreak

So incredibly underrated.
46Megadeth
Rust in Peace

Gon Thrash
47Rush
Moving Pictures

See the other history stuff
48Bullet For My Valentine
The Poison

Got a problem with Bullet?
49The Ghost Inside
Returners

Can't stop listening to Chrono is why this is here.
50Bob Dylan
Blood on the Tracks

Historically would be in top 5.
