InbredJed 02.18.14	Ok sure, them's riffs, but do they stack up against Sweet Leaf, A Dangerous Meeting or Thumb? This is what I find so interesting about this topic, everyone has a slightly different idea in mind when they say "riff".

InbredJed 02.18.14	To my ear, Eddie is a lead player who constructed they rhythmic parts of his songs to facilitate vocal harmony, and later on in the song, a solo. What makes an Iommi riff different is that it if you take away the bass drums and vox, it's still got all the heavyness, swagger and balls. To my ear, Hot For Teacher or Runnin WTD, while great melodies, are not riffs in the same sense. I dunno, maybe I just have a preference for heavier stuff. Riffs don't NEED to be power chords right?
