Anthems To The Welkin At Dusk Ranked

My favourite Emperor record, although on other days "In the Nightside Eclipse" i do prefer. Anyway, being seriously bored i thought i would rank it.
1With Strength I Burn

The best emperor track ever, everything i love about emperor is in this track. Sublime songwriting, furious blasts, intense riffs, clean vocals, sweet lyrics, this track has such an amazing atmosphere as does the whole album. 5:40 is so fucking chaotic.
2Loss and Curse of Reverence

Love the really soft pizzicato during the verse, the swooping strings and the intro riff is so goooood.
3Ye Entrancemperium

The very first few seconds if this introduce you to some furious blasts, i love the way the momentum shifts from half to full time throughout, and the singing at 3:43 is wonderfully epic.
4Thus Spake the Nightspirit

This has some awesome riffs in, but form 3:00 onwards this track really comes into its own, i love the clean vocals, lyrics and chord changes.
5Alsbartr (the oath)

Your ReasonLove the key changes throughout this, a brilliant introduction to the album, i believe Euronyous wrote this, or just a part of this but that could be wrong.
6Acclamation of Bonds

Possibly the one track on the album that closest resembles anything off In the Nightside.., this is probably the most continously fast song on the album, the strings play a melody in places that reminds me alot of "Cosmic keys to my creations and times" off In the Nightside
7Ensorcelled by Khaos

A fast song no douubt, but maybe the one track on the album apart from the one below, that doesnt have a moment that significantly sticks in my head. A good emperor song regardless.

A nice exit to the record, i just feel it could of been extended, and as an instrumental not as repetetive. thus its length means its not really comparible with the other tracks.
