One Year Anniv./home From A Local Show

Technically, since it's after midnight, yesterday was my one year anniversary of being on Sputnik. I would thank you all for albums I've gotten over the past year, but everyone does that. To be different, I'm going to talk about these four local bands that I just saw even though none of you will care about them.
1Watch Your Back

Okay, this band sucks. They're very generic
deathcore/breakdown/breakdown/chug. They can't even write a real song,
it just sounds like random riffs that don't even flow. The vocalist is good

Despite the name, this is an incredibly good emoish band. The guys in it
are cool as fuck and it's nice to have a non-core band around. Like a mix
between Sunny Day Real Estate and the softer moments from early
3In This Hour

This band was the shit. The bass player was a beast and I'm not talking
about his playing. He looked like he could have eaten me. Very similar to
'90s metalcore like Deadguy and a better Hatebreed. Finally a -core band
that does it right.

The headliner wasn't nearly as good as the last two bands, for some
reason. Just another generic metalcore band with way too many
breakdowns that don't add anything to the music. Vocalist looked like he
should be in Mastodon.
