Check out the cream of Japanese rock - stuff like Number Girl, Ling Tosite Sigure, Zazen Boys, bloodthirsty butchers, Syrup16g, Supercar, The Pillows, Eastern Youth, and more... plus lots of sweet instrumental bands like Lite, Toe, Mirror, Te', Mudy on the Sakuban, About Tess, etc. Japanese rocks, it's not nearly as tough as people make it out to be. And Osaka Japanese kicks ass, the Tokyo dialect is pansy speech.

By the way, all foreign language classes suck, the teachers are usually weird too. I took my last credit of Spanish last semester. The teacher was insane. She literally ran away from the class once, we still don't know why. She was like 80 too.

BeardedIdiot 12.08.10	@winsomniac: tbh I am the only one who doesn't watch anime in my class, lol. and learning from anime is the same like you tried to learn swedish from cheap porn flicks last two semesters were passable, because we were taught by this pretty hot teacher and she was really easy on us. Now we got this super geek, who's adamnt that we should know everything PERFECTLY and a japanese woman, who speaks in an incomprehensible mix of my native language, englis and japanese.

fsharptrit0ne 12.08.10	Yea learning Japanese from anime is not really such a good way haha. It's kind of like speaking like Goofy, only in Japanese. It's only as hard as you make it out to be, its a lot of memorization and what not. Like all languages.

fsharptrit0ne 12.08.10	haha, well for some reason I got this sudden urge to learn Japanese and I really enjoyed learning it. I learned more Japanese in my own two months of self learning than the 8 years of Spanish I took from 4th grade to 10th. I don't know if that's funny or sad -_-
