04.22.10 | Ok setlist for a phenomenal band |
Inveigh
04.22.10 | very similar to the setlist I saw them play last September. It was a great show. They actually played Last Caress in the encore! |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | They played Last Caress in 2008 here and that was insane! seen them last year as well, they opened with Blackened (best Metallica opener for me) but surprisingly enough, Broken, Beat and Scarred was definitely one of the set highlights. It was unreal and heavier than on album, although it was the best track from Death Magnetic. They also played Turn The Page which was awesome >. |

04.22.10 | When I saw them I noticed that the Death Magnetic stuff sounds much better live. |

04.22.10 | Oh and they played Dyer's Eve and Ride The Lightning at my show :D |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | Yeah it did sound better live convict, I think it was a tad overproduced on the album and it just sounded more crisp live. All Nightmare Long was unreal too. And they played Dyer's Eve last year and Ride The Lightning in 2008! In fact, just for kicks here are their set lists :P lol

04.22.10 | Dyer's Eve?! you lucky bastards!
I was soooo expecting Blackened, or at least some more Justice stuff, what a shame that we only got One.
Yeah, DM songs were much better live. I still don't understand why some people don't like em. That was just your life is a definition of a headbanging song. |

04.22.10 | I have to say Gojira stole the show in my opinion. Lamb of God did great too. (Those where the two opening acts when I saw them.) |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | That Was Just Your Life would've been great alright :( I got a lotta Justice so I was pretty satisfied!
Tenacious D and Sweet Savage supported them in 2008, Tenacious D were awesome. 2009 there support was Mastodon (shit), Avenged sevenfold (wasn't really interested but they put on a decent show) and Alice In Chains...I don't have to tell you guys how they were ;) |

04.22.10 | That happened with Fear Factory in my case. Gojira were pretty good too, but for some reason the sound was fucked up during their performance. Guitars were totally drowned out by the drums. Thankfully, they managed to fix that.
The most disappointing thing is that the crowd was filled with complete douchebags. Dino Cazares tried to initiate a mosh pit, but people refused to move their asses. Fucking idiots, I'm so disappointed.
But at least they received a warmer welcome than Gojira, who were basically ignored. A lot of people left during their set and returned only for Metallica. |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | Gojira must've been awesome too! They close with Vacuity? |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | Tools. I'd love to see Fear Factory! |
BeardedIdiot
04.22.10 | Don't know, since I've heard only their new album :D |
fr33convict
04.22.10 | No they closed with Flying Whales, they played Vacuity somewhere in the middle. But that's my favorite from them so it al turned out. |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | It's #10 on their new album xD |
fr33convict
04.22.10 | I know I was talking about live though. |
Yeahtoast
04.22.10 | Oh sorry convict I was talking to the idiot with the beard up there, "Don't know, since I've heard only their new album :D"
Flying Whales would've been awesome grrr....they played here about a month before I discovered their awesomeness...typical :p Vacuity is amazing though! My favourite by them. |
BeardedIdiot
04.22.10 | I believe toast was replying to me :D
well I can't really remember, I do know that they opened with Uroboros and played Toxic Garbage Island |

05.03.10 | I'm seeing Metallica for the 2nd time in 9 days in Belfast. Volbeat and High on Fire are supporting. Can't bloody wait. |
AnotherBrick
05.03.10 | i was really disappointed with them live |
maidenpmcc
05.03.10 | Yea they sucked when I seen them back in august 2008 in Dublin. Tenacious D were supporting and they were fun though. |
