Favourite Songs At The Moment
Its just my favourite songs at the moment, bit of metal, bit of indie, bit of punk and a bit of rock....just whatever i like is on here.
Im accept suggestions but truthfully if you think my list sucks then
thank god its not your list |
1 | The Black Dahlia Murder Warborn
Listen to the chorus once and youll be hooked...I may not like the low burpy death growls in it but i just cant stop listening to this. |
2 | The Submarines Xavia
yes the submarines are licensing whores, yes this song was in possibly one of the worst movies this year and yes its almost the exact opposit of my favourite song this year but this song is truthfully a close second. The Jangly guitars, the cool piano and flute stuff at the beginning and the amazingly happy mood that surrounds this song, its become addictive. If any of you are feeling sad or something put this song on! its like a crack rock of pure joy. |
3 | Dancing for Rain Rise Against
Powerful song...rise against are one of my favourite bands and there album "siren songs of the counter culture" is amazing and a must grab for anyone who likes rise against. This song grabs you from the opening guitar riff and doesnt let go till the end. |
4 | Dinosaur jr. Start Choppin
Its funky, its got a catchy chorus with weird vocals and a badass solo...why wouldnt i like this, why wouldnt anyone like this. |
5 | In Flames Jotun
THe guitar riff alone gets this song on my list. Back when In Flames werent as polarizing a band and is off possibly there best album. This was definently a high point in In Flames career and I dont think they've hit it since. |
6 | Alter Bridge Blackbird
Its an amazing song and im in love with myles' voice. I really have nothing else to say but that about the song. |
7 | Mr.Bungle My Ass is on Fire
Crazy circus time music, with funk, jazz, death metal and circus music there they grab my attention firmly with this song. |
8 | Misfits Where Eagles Dare
catchy baritone mournful vocals with pummling punk puncturing the melody...its so good it makes you want to alliterate |
9 | Our Lady Peace Angels/Losing/Sleep
Our Lady peace always find one of their songs on any playlist i do and trust me this song is one of their best ive heard. Raine Maida's Falsetto pulls this song through to the very end where they (very tamley) rock out.Its a cool softer song and one i increasingly enjoy |
10 | Deicide Scars of the Crucifix
The first riff sends me into the biggest frenzy of headbanging that I couldnt tell you much more about it. Seriousy though, besides that opening riff its got all of Deicides traits, brutal vocals, twin guitar solos and heavily satanic lyrics.
Mostly enjoy this one for the prime headbanging moment at the beginning. Once I got past that though I really enjoyed the powerful vocals of glen benton and the insane twin guitar solo that is a staple of Deicides music. |
11 | Skindred Nobody
Catchy as fuck Reggae/Metal. The Breakdown near the end their still makes me shake my head everytime i hear it. |
12 | Explosions in the Sky Your Hand in Mine
Beautifully crafted post-rock that can get more emotion through with guitar then what most singers get through with there fuckin voice. This band just recently caught my ear and im glad they did because this song is so enjoyabley calming its like the anti-deicide. |
13 | Coheed and Cambria Heartshot Kid Disaster
it has such a wannabe tough guy attitude to it that you cant help but fall for the utter charm of the song. Its a catchy as fuck guitar riff and truthfully I think its got a really well constructed verse-bridge-chorus structure which I dont hear to often from these guys. |
14 | Machine Head Beautiful Mourning
Its starts off as a really heavy Groove Metal song but then part way through it just launches into this completely Epic Metalcore influenced Chorus that just grabs me even more than the opening. Really great song |
15 | Amon Amarth Cry of the Blackbirds
These guys usually deliver really catchy death metal tunes and this is no exception. From the moment you hear the melody first from the guitar riff you get goosebumps and they dont leave you till they end. It may not be a super huge mosh the fuck out song but it will definently send you into a frenzy of headbanging. |
