Underappreciated
Just some stuff I found on the site and elsewhere that I feel isn't getting enough love from all of you guys. They're all good listens in my opinion and I hope you take the time to check out at least a few of them. |
1 | | The Tallest Man On Earth The Tallest Man On Earth
A nice short listen from this guy. I'm sure most people are aware of his full lengths, but if you're even remotely a fan of them you'll probably love this EP. |
2 | | Saxon Shore The Exquisite Death Of Saxon Shore
I'm a big fan of this band, so if you're looking for a nice post-rock listen I'd recommend giving this a listen or checking out It Doesn't Matter. Both are pretty accessible post-rock in my opinion. |
3 | | Radical Face Ghost
Really great folk album. Nice mix of electronics too. A great album to add to any folk lover's collection. |
4 | | Moving Mountains Foreword EP
Decided to re-listen to their discog and forgot how great they are. Nice mix of indie/emo/post-rock that I'd recommend to anyone. |
5 | | Maybeshewill Not For Want of Trying
Some nice electronic tinged post-rock. Has samples like you'd expect, but the track "He Films the Clouds, Pt. 2" is one of my favorite tracks ever. |
6 | | Film School Film School
Great sort of shoegaze like band. An awesome listen late night. |
7 | | Braid Frame and Canvas
Great emo band. A nice mix that I feel most people can find enjoyable. |
8 | | Texas Is The Reason Do You Know Who You Are?
Another emo band. Nice mix of emo/post-hardcore. "Johnny on the Spot" is one of best damn tracks I've heard in a long while. |
9 | | Idlewild The Remote Part
I was rec'd this a while ago. Truly amazing band and I jsut love the singer's voice. It was become one of my favorite records as of late. |
10 | | If These Trees Could Talk If These Trees Could Talk
Some more post-rock that is truly well done and in need of some more listeners. It's more on the heavy side, and keeps on pounding on. Another I would recommend for anyone looking to get into some post-rock. |
11 | | Helios Unomia
More of an ambient/electronic band. This is my favorite out of their discog. May not be for everyone, but if you're a fan of hte type of music I'd actually recommend the whole catalog. |
12 | | Grown Ups Songs
Nice catchy emo. Short listen but rewarding if you ask me. |
13 | | Kronos Quartet and Mogwai The Fountain OST
Truly amazing movie. The soundtrack that accompanies it is just as mesmerising. |
14 | | Mogwai My Father My King
Only about 20 minutes long, but it's just one song. In the right mood it's amazing. Recommended for fans of the band or the genre. |
15 | | The One Up Downstairs The One Up Downstairs
The project of Mike Kinsella before his amazing work in American Football. Nice and short and I'd recommend it to any fan of American Football. |
16 | | My Epic Yet
Nice mix od prog and many other elements make this a great listen. Both of their full lengths are great for any fan of prog. |
17 | | Just Surrender If These Streets Could Talk
Basically I like to think of this as almost as good as Tell All Your Friends. Any fan of Taking Back Sunday will absolutely love this. Nice and catchy an d easily their best work. Check em out. |
18 | | Bears and Bright Lights Bears & Bright Lights
I'm pretty sure me and like 3 other people from sputnik are the top listeners for this band. Truly great release that makes you wanting more. The review for this pretty much sums up my thoughts on it. |
19 | | The Format Interventions and Lullabies
Just as great as Dog Problems in my opinion. Recommended for any fan of the more recent fun., as its basically the same guy doing the music, just in a eariler project. |
20 | | Ennio Morricone The Good, The Bad and The Ugly
I'm sure most of you guys have seen this movie. If you haven't I recommend going to get it right now. One of my favorite movies of all time, but also has probably the best soundtrack I've ever heard put into a movie. Truly epic, in every sense of the word. |
