So this past March/April I decided to finally learn to play bass, something that I had wanted to do for a couple years. Thus far I've been completely self taught. I picked up the basic stuff pretty fast, however after so long my progression kind of flat lined, especially in the area of speed. Any of you other bassists have any tips to improve finger speed/strength/control? Will it come with time or is there anything extra I can do to speed up the process?
1Protest the Hero

Arif's probably the biggest reason why I wanted to start playing
2HORSE the Band
A Natural Death

Dash is a very respectable bassist. Shame he left HORSE. He did some pretty cool stuff on this album; shame it was mixed low. There's 2 pretty spot on covers of The Red Tornado and The Black Hole somewhere on youtube which show cases his playing pretty well.
3Fear Before
The Always Open Mouth

I loved how apparent the bass was on this compared to a lot of other post hardcore releases back in the day. then again i was also in to some shitty stuff back in the day too. Regardless I loved how much the bass added to the eerie sound on this album.

5Jaco Pastorius
Jaco Pastorius

This guy was awesome. Incredible bassist.
