Just the strange assortment of things I've been listening to... I'm bored.
1Perry Farrell
Song Yet To Be Sung

I used to hate Jane's Addiction, but listening to Perry's solo work has gotten me over my disdain for his voice. This is an awesome album... makes me want to go have sex in the desert. Maybe the video for the title track has something to do with that though.
2Mount Eerie
Lost Wisdom

Relaxing album with exceptional lyrics. I haven't listened to all of Elverum's stuff, but this is probably my personal favorite thus far.
3The Weepies
Hideaway

My fiancee got me into Deb Talan's solo work, and I quite like her voice. I found out about her proper band The Weepies afterwards. Good stuff.
4maudlin of the Well
Leaving Your Body Map

I've been listening to all of this band's albums quite a bit lately. I think this one is my favorite, though Part The Second is pretty amazing also. Still need to check out Kayo Dot.
5Korpiklaani
Korven Kuningas

...and the rest of their albums.
6Fen
The Malediction Fields

Still don't really know what to think about this album, it drags at times, but on a handful of tracks it is glorious.
7Defeater
Travels

Actually I haven't been listening to this lately, but I'm adding it here because I should be listening to it more. I'm not really into this genre but I'm psychically sensing that it's amazing good for the genre...
8Drudkh
Microcosmos

In my top 10 for 2009, as if I had one.
9Insomnium
Across The Dark

I have been listening to it a lot lately, but not necessarily because I like it... in fact, I think it's probably Insomnium's weakest album yet. There are some great moments, but for the most part it just doesn't do it for me. ATWW is still the best.
10 Modest Mouse
No One's First And You're Next

I was skeptical of this until I learned it was B-sides and rarities from their last two albums. Knowing that makes this a lot more enjoyable somehow. I really like about half of this album, and feel pretty meh about the other half, which is how I felt about pretty much all of their last album so I guess it's an improvement.
