Heading to the Outer Banks for a solid week, if I don't come back, don't come looking. Oh, and these bands and a few others are coming with me on the 17+ hour drive. I'd bring heavier stuff, but my fiancee who listens to Guster and Indigo Girls will be sitting next to me trying to sleep.

Album won't actually be out in the US until next month, and nowhere until
the 29th. I pre-ordered it, but I'm hoping I can find a leak beforehand.
Otherwise I'll bring Silent Waters.
Ashes Against The Grain

This album goes with me on any drive long enough to play the album in its
entirety. It is best heard while on the open road, especially at night.

I'll be bringing one or two other albums of theirs, but I haven't listened to
Hindsight since the first week of getting it for some reason.
4Mar De Grises
Draining The Waterheart

Hopefully I can stay awake through this album. That's not an insult to the
album, but I fall asleep very easily while driving regardless of the tempo of
the music, and Mar De Grises is an exceptionally relaxing doom metal band.
Above The Weeping World

Probably the heaviest music I'll be bringing with me. I listened to a track or
two off of this album the other day and remembered how much I love it.

Just because no roadtrip is complete anymore without singing along to the
sloppy English of the genuinely epic track Inis Mona.
Voice of Wilderness

Actually, I'm bringing all of their albums, I chose this one at random. I
haven't listen to them enough to remember which one is my favorite, so I'll
put it to rest on the 17 hour drive.
Blood Inside

See 4... my fiancee mentioned to me last night how much she likes Ulver so
I decided to bring them on. We'll see how awesome Ulver is on roadtrips
when we're both asleep as the car drives itself down the highway.
The Pariah, the Parrot, the Delusion

I've listened to this album 4 times now and still don't know for sure what I
think of it. Trip will give me time to decide.
10The Flaming Lips
The Soft Bulletin

Will bring this and Clouds Taste Metallic probably.
