Djent Is The New Deathcore

And I really dont like it. There's so many try-hard djent bands emerging. It's all so generic and predictable. All of the out-of-fashion deathcore bands are jumping on the trendy 'djent' bandwagon. It really sucks because I've always liked this style of technical/groove/prog metal more recently known as djent, and now I'm starting to hate it. There's a handful of bands that have perfected the genre a few years back, and I'm yet to find (through the millions of up and coming djent bands) anything to match them. Awesome bands like Meshuggah (obviously), FellSilent, SikTh, Textures and Animals as Leaders are all great... But even the more popular djent bands like Periphery, (new) Tesseract, Volumes and Vildhjarta all bore me to death.r... Anyway... I want some ambient music. Like full on sound effects and birds chirping. Visual, atmospheric music. I haven't really ventured into this genre at all, and I need you guys to help point me in the right direction on where to start :)rHere are some recent digs. I don't care what you think of them.

Yes, they are a terrible band, but you just can't deny the awesomeness of this album. I still love it as much as I did when I was in primary school.

The guitar playing is a tad repetitve, but this album is so dynamic and fun. Easily their best. I love the uptempo songs, and the sloppy, live vibe to everything. These guys are the best at wacky triplet fills. Simple, but they throw you off guard
