to be clear, "ruined" may be unfairly used here, because Bond and Star Wars already had problems preceding their "darker" turns
also: i think darker Wolverine/X-Men works fine/has worked fine
i wholeheartedly agree but people like "dark" edges to shit and gahdammit zach snyder is gonna give it to them!!!!
and my friend and I were talking about #1 yesterday lol
maybe i have the timeline wrong but not that long before, Anakin was complaining about a fair trial for the emperor before he killed sammie J and he goes from that line of reasoning to killing kids in like barely any time lol
i disagree with 1. i mean it's anakin's transformation into darth vader it's supposed to be dark as fuck
i have seen security recordings of him....
once you go black
dark movies make dumb people think theyre watching something smart
see: the dark knight trilogy
i liked skyfall more than casino royale. haven't seen quantum though
Honestly, it's a fucking superhero movie. It's not supposed to be ultra serious, and Quantum was painfully average.
that new spiderman was fucking terrible
2 is so true. Episode 2 was even better than episode 3, regardless of the silly romance that was constantly being implemented. The scene where he kills the kids isn't bad, but Ewin McGregor's reactions were horrendous.
There's no way SW 2 is better than 3.
2 is just the worst movie ever. When I was 8 I fell asleep watching it. Same with #1, actually.
And you know how kids are with movies---they like the most generic shit.
@Hype, but the Batman films, from a thematic standpoint, were pretty smart. The overarching story
and stuff is pretty cool, full of symbolism and all that good stuff, compared to, let's say, Raimi's
Spiderman which was fun (esp. Ep2) but wasn't as heavy. The thing is they aren't as great movies as
they are written, in terms of dialogue, plot cohesive (meaning specific details vs overarching
But if you look at classics like A Tale of Two Cities and Grapes of Wrath, they really aren't as
well-written as even, say, the HP books (well the first few, the last three became a clusterfuck of
different ideas). I mean, Dickens admitted to just writing fluff so he wrote more pages since he
submitted AToTC a chapter at a time to a magazine, so the more shit he wrote, the more money he
made. But that doesn't make it a classic novel for other reasons, which I acknowledge despite
generally hating the book (though Sydney Carton rules face)
"It is a far, far better thing that I do, than I have ever done; it is a far, far better rest that I go to than I have ever known."
Best line before death ever.
Sydney Carton 4 life
Ya I thought skyfall was really good. I mean quantum wasn't anything special but its a bond movie for Christ sake not fucking twilight lol
Superman films will never be my thing, I just don't enjoy the character.
Agreed I'm more of a spider man guy myself
Don't really have a favorite, but the guy should've been killed off by Luthor already imo.
Oh look, he's been stabbed in the side with the one thing that makes him mortal, let's have him recover and save the day!
Boring and trite.
It's true he can fly and hold up massive weight but a little rock makes his knees quake. Dat nigga is a pussy
Just too perfect of a character, he's hard to relate to.
