Kintups' Epic Musical Journey

For better or for worse, we have all had a beginning to our musical journey. This is mine. This list will cover my albums from my high school years. No, I never had a punk stage. Or a pop stage. Those always sucked.
1 Funker Vogt
(a random remix album)

This nerd gave it to me at school thinking that I'd love it. He was into weird German bands. It was ok, but it wasn't my thing. My only technoish album ever.
Where Do We Go from Here

I recalled that Pillar and Thousand Foot Krutch were well known Christian artists so I got these albums without ever listening to them at all. I loved them for quite a while.
3Thousand Foot Krutch
The Art of Breaking

Read above

My youth leader played this in his car all the time. He also played Opeth. Needless to say I wasn't into death metal yet.
5Mute Math
Mute Math

Heard this at camp when I was counselling during summer. I loved the full sound of the band and instantly got it. My first favorite band.
630 Seconds To Mars
A Beautiful Lie

The first album I ever bought with my own money! I heard the single 'attack' on the internet and I loved it. This seemed so heavy at the time.
Arrivals and Departures

Was looking deals and I found this band Silverstein. Medolic and screaming fit the bill considering my last album so I got it.
Dark Passion Play

I remembered this band after my best friend mentioned that it was her favorite band.

Heard 'I'm So Sick' on Rock Band and instantly loved the band. I don't anymore though.
The Reckoning

Another random buy. I hoped for the best.
11Finger Eleven
Finger Eleven

Heard 'Good Times' on youtube. Pretty happy band I thought.
1230 Seconds To Mars
30 Seconds To Mars

I found out the 30 Seconds To Mars actually had a CD before their second one. Yeesh. Bough it immediately.
13The Birthday Massacre
Walking with Strangers

My whole family loves this album. I don't know how I found this band, but I did. I love it.

Loved it.
Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow

Burnt it then threw it away.
From One

My favorite album of all time. So far.
End of Silence

Dissappointing album but it was ok.

Extremely dissappointing album. I've getting rid of it.

Not bad at all! I wanted to find a happy girlish metal band for once in my life.

After a while of listening, I finally loved Tarja's voice. It was hard to get into 'cause I was so used to their newest singer. I prefer Tarja's voice now.
10,000 Days

Forgot how I got into this band. I LOVE Tool-ish bands. 30 Seconds To Mars started it I suppose.

The next step.
Ten Thousand Fists

The only album that didn't have excessive swearing thus I bought it.
24Linkin Park

Thought it would be fun to spin once and a while.
25Within Temptation
The Heart of Everything

Was Nightwish-ish. (Say that 10 times fast) I considered her voice to be outstanding. To me this was like a better Evanescence.

30 Seconds To Mars did a cover on Bjork's 'Hunter' so I checked her music out. For a while I thought it was the weirdest crap ever... but then I listened. INCREDIBLE!
27Breaking Benjamin

This should be number 15 or something. It was an ok album for a while but I really never played it. Basically, I loved the song 'Diary of Jane'. I still do.
