| I Won't Care For You, Like I'm Really Supposed To
New Thrice album tomorrow, I've been holding off on listening to the stream. Really stoked. In other news, digs/recs? | 1 | | Antony and the Johnsons I Am A Bird Now
I know that this isn't the most well-loved band on this site, but MY GOD. This man makes the most gorgeous, emotional music I have ever heard (besides Bon Iver) | 2 | | Mew Frengers
Been into this album for a long time, but it just keeps coming back to haunt me. Really nostalgic, and 156 is perfectt | 3 | | Tegan and Sara The Con
Pretty much the creepiest indie-pop ever. Their voices seriously give me chills, but songs like Nineteen and Relief Next To Me are so powerful. | 4 | | Pinback Autumn of the Seraphs
I've always enjoyed Pinback, but found them fairly bland. This album is where they've finally stretched out their wings and really done something interesting. | 5 | | Empire of the Sun Walking on a Dream
Another band Sputnik dislikes, for whatever reason. Yes, the second half of this album is pretty bland, and I honestly have trouble listening all the way through, but man, Walking on a Dream, Standing on a Shore, and We Are the People are absolutely incredible. | 6 | | Rx Bandits ...And The Battle Begun
Not what I expected, after having only heard their first album. The intro track alone had me hooked. | 7 | | Feist The Reminder
SO TASTY. Nuff said. | 8 | | Deftones White Pony
When I first got this album, I was really into Glassjaw, so I was finding it difficult to enjoy a band who reminded me so much of Glassjaw. But it finally clicked. Digital Bath just bowls me over. | 9 | | Sugarcult Lights Out
Yes, it's generic. Yes, it's fucking AWESOME. | 10 | | The Used Artwork
I loved the self titled, I loved In Love And Death, I HATED Lies For The Liars. It was an extremely well-crafted album, but it just didn't feel like it had any of the emotion I want from The Used. This album is so much better than I was expecting. | |
