Green Day Ranked!
So I recently watched Bullet in a bible again and it reminded me why they are one of the greatest live bands around. Time for a list!
THE album that got me into music and a modern classic in my eyes. Not a second of this album is weak.
Their breakthrough album, that puts most pop rock bands to shame.
A Mixed album, and because of it's variety it can quite a bit of replay value.
Their most angry album, but accesible because of it's clear production.
You either like it or hate it, but this album is definitley worth owning.
I used to love this album, but I have grown out of it quite a bit. Many place this at their finest hour but it's all down to personal opinion.
1039/Smoothed out slappy hours
Same as above. However check them both out for sure. They are raw, but there is some impressive solos (by green day standards of course) and its good to see how far they have come.
A B-sides album, and you can tell. Still, there is some gems to find here.
Switch 1&2 and 3&4 -- we see eye to eye.
This site haz mucho hate for 'American Idiot', honestly I'm not sure why. *shrugs*
1 sucks what in the name of FUCK is it doing before 2
Move 1 down to 6 or 7 and move 5 up a space and you'd have my list pretty much.
3,2,1,5 for me
I've only heard 1 and 2 in full. Dookie is wayy better but 1 is still pretty good, like a 3ish for me maybe 3.5.
4, 2, 6, 3, 1, 7, 8
7 fucking rules!!!!!! their most punk album
american idiot is pretty shit
warning is also pretty shit
warning is way underrated and way good what're you talking about
Find it slightly humorous that you said that you either like or hate 'Warning', and then put it right in the middle of the list.
Anyways...switch #'s 1 and 2, move #3 down below 'Warning' and that's my list. 'American Idiot' is still amazing (though I hardly spin it anymore), but 'Dookie' reigns king.
lol did ANYONE read my reasoning for 1? It got me into music so of course its 1 :P
also the band was never punk, they're just a brilliant pop rock band. and yeah warning is under rated, and brilliant on first few listens but it wears off.
Yeah, 'Dookie' for me at #1 also. Although, I can see why Croc has 'AI" there for the personal reasons.
I admit I have rather a soft spot for 1, even though I never listen to it anymore. But man, I used to into it...
I don't get the hate for 1. It was overplayed, but it was a good album apart from that.
Mine would look like this:
4. American idiot
7.1039/Smoothed out slappy hours
Kerplunk and 1039 would have ranked much higher for me.
lol i just love the story and lyrics and how american idiot is so much more than the usual collecton of songs for green day, its an album!
1 absoutely stinks, but i respect your opinions. Even though they stink. But an opinion is an opinion. Even if it stinks.
ugh... you just had to do this list, didn't you? Gotta respect your opinion gator, but I can't shake the feeling the world would br a better place withot these guys.
Anyway, whatever floats your boat man.
Holy shit this is exactly my order
american idiot is one of the most overrated albums ever! dookie is much better than that shit.
