Favorite Instrumentals Of All Time

This is just a compilation of some of my favorite instrumentals of all time. Some may surprise, some may not, but, dammit, I'm doing this! Also, be sure to give me YOUR recommendations of your favorite instrumentals ever. Now enjoy, dammit!
1P.O.D. (Jason Truby)
Eternal

What?!!! P.O.D?!! Yea, I probably just lost my cool card with that one, but this song is absolutely amazing. While the album is nothing special (I will admit, I still like some of it), this song completely caught me off guard. I was young at the time and I had never heard anything like it before. I had for so long shrouded myself with common mediocre radio rock and other crap. I was not prepared for "Eternal," and, thus, the track completely surprised me. The track has a very western feel to it and almost comes off as a modern rendition of an old western tune, but it sounds so amazing and by the time the song climaxes I always have chills. This IS the track that made me want to play guitar. Jason Truby is a fantastic guitarist and, luckily, pursued something much more fitting for his style that P.O.D. Call me crazy, but this song is fantastic and I suggest to anyone to go check it out.
2Dream Theater
Overture 1928

This song is a fantastic opener to an utter masterpiece of an album. Of course, it is completely instrumental and manages to show off the beast of a keyboard player DT had just picked up, Jordan Rudess. The instrumentation is amazing and the song is extremely catchy, even without catchy vocal hooks. It also leads perfectly into the next amazing song, "Strange Deja Vu." If you haven't heard this amazing song, go check it out now.
3Opeth
Epilogue

This is the closing song to Opeth's classic "My Arms, Your Hearse" album, and what a fantastic closer it is. It has a very simple song structure, but it shows off the bands fantastic instrumentation, and Mikael Akerfeldt's extremely soulful guitar playing. An absolutely amazing song, and an absolutely amazing band, as well.
4Animals As Leaders
The Price of Everything and The Value of Nothing

Animals As Leaders are recent discovery I have stumbled across. They are by far the best thing I have come across in a long while when it comes to strictly instrumental stuff. This song is an absolute masterpiece and should be seen as one. It shows off Tosin Abasi's fantastic merging of Fusion Jazz with Melodic Metal and it all just comes together so perfectly. Definitely check this out.
5Al Di Meola
Mediterranean Sundance

Al Di Meola is a fantastic guitarist and more than worthy of the moniker "guitar god." He mixes Jazz with Spanish Flamenco style playing and it is all so amazing. Mediterranean Sundance is quite a fun song to listen to. It manages to show off Al Di Meola's fantastic skills at guitar, but doesn't make him out to be a wanky guitar player. The song certainly captures the traditional Spanish feel with Di Meola's patented steel string guitar attack to spice it all up. For anyone looking for true inspiration, check this great little song out.
