DiceMan 10.20.09	Not to flame you.. But the fact that you say Pan's Labyrinth is a horror movie implies that you don't comprehend/detect the intricacies of the storyline. You could call me a fanboy if you want, but it's pretty much my favorite movie ever.

DiceMan 10.20.09	It's technically a drama. Or you could just label it as a fantasy movie for adults. Either way neither is a horror movie and while it was intended to be shocking i'm assuming that it was never intended to be scary. The storyline dealing with the young girl and Pan is supposed to be "out there" because it is up to the viewer to interpret whether it is real or all in her mind.

BSX 10.20.09	Some kids in my music class didn't know what the book was about or even heard of Where The Wild Things Are before the movie. No wonder I didn't like them. LOL
tombits 10.20.09	Pan's Labyrinth is probably my favourite movie. Although it has elements of a horror (like when the pale man tears the head off the fairy, that's straight out of a zombie movie), it's probably more of a fantasy. The interesting thing about it is that for an arthouse film, it's done extremely well with a mainstream audience too.
