2015!!!!!!!!!

Okay so I should probably wait for the new Baroness-Purple to drop before I make this list because is will most likely be #1 but....heres my list of the best albums of 2015 ranked!
1Deafheaven
New Bermuda

Deafheaven deliver another masterpiece. I'm not usually crazy about black metal but these guys always hit the spot!!
2SUMAC
The Deal

Just amazing. Aaron Turner turns whatever project he's working on into solid GOLD. Atmospheric and Crushing. The album took some time to grow on me but man do I get it now.
3Kowloon Walled City
Grievances

Along the same lines as their previous work Container Ships. The songwriting is a bit more concise here. I am a massive fan of this band so It's hard to say it's better than their previous work but it's absolutely on par. This band makes music that is very personal to me.
4Mutoid Man
Bleeder

I really miss cave in but brodsky's new project has been blowing me away!!! and this is the definition of a supergroup done right!
5Intronaut
The Direction of Last Things

really? can these guys do any wrong?!? An amazing continuation of their incredibly solid discography. a bit faster this time around. and thats not a bad thing!
7Night Birds
Mutiny At Muscle Beach

Absolutely the best punk album of the year. This album has balls!!! And I'm not a huge punk fan but these guys hit the nail on the head on every track. love the surf rock inlfuence.
8Kurt Vile
b'lieve i'm goin' down...

This has been my go-to folk album of the year. Kurt Vile is like a modern Bob Dylan. Memorable songwriting, great guitars, catchy, humorous but relevant lyrics. Whats not to like?!?!
9Failure
The Heart Is a Monster

This album turned me into a failure fan and has made me want to explore their earlier work. Im not big on mainstream grunge but this is fucking awesome. So Spacey and I love the flow of the album. Solid!!
10Jaga Jazzist
Starfire

Yeah I havent spent nearly enough time with this beast. I was a huge fan of One Armed Bandit so this is definitely on my radar. Big City Music though.....what a masterpiece!!
11Torche
Restarter

These guys used to be one my absolute favorite bands. Meanderthal will always be a perfect album. Restarter is really solid! I find myself returning to this every so often. Just not quite as memorable as their last few albums.
12Coliseum
Anxiety's Kiss

Oh my goddddddd. J. Robbins I love you....This is like Jawbox if they were heavier and had a bit of krautrock mixed in. So fucking good.
13Mutemath
Vitals

Alright so they will never even come close to touching their debut album. But this still has alot of great songs on it. Great when I'm on a pop fix
14Yautja
Songs of Lament

Songs of Descent was one of my favorite albums from last year. This sounds like the b-sides from that album but mannnn still absolutely killer! if you like bands on deathwish records.....This is for you!!! Fun fact...the bassist of Coliseum is in this band.
15Wrekmeister Harmonies
Night Of Your Ascension

So creepy, so dark, such fucked up subject matter....but if you like drone, doom, metal...this should not be missed. This is the third album by them that I've loved.
16Title Fight
Hyperview

This is what shoegaze should sound like. It's spacey and dreamy but still has an element of accessibility to it. Ok so the band took a wild left turn with the kind of music they make...but IMO they do it right.
17Battles
La Di Da Di

Still have to let this one sink in. But I was obsessed with Gloss Drop. This is a bit different but I have a feeling it will grow on me.
18Protomartyr
The Agent Intellect

I have a feeling if I gave this album more time is would have been higher on the list, Another band I adore but due to the crazy about of good releases this year I just havent given it enough time. They are one of the best acts going today.
19Metz
Metz II

Same as above ^^^^^
20Radioactivity
Silent Kill

Loved their S/T. More of the same which is a good thing! These guys are up there with Night Birds for best current punk bands.
21Fight Amp
Constantly Off
22Disappears
Irreal

Love this band....Havent had enough time with this.
