|2009, Albums You May Not Have Heard|
I'm making this list so I seem really underground and like "whoa dude you've heard ALL those obscure albums whoa man you must be so cool whoa" in other words, I'm a huge fag.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeee! This rules so hard, noodly math-rocky, indie-ish screamo kind of, but I mean you probably know this rules already because you've all heard Jokes right?
|2||Portraits Of Past|
Cypress Dust Witch
Well this kind of came out of the blue. I was like "what, a Portraits of Past release? Am I seeing this right?" Well yeah, guess what? It's awesome. Nice emo/screamo stuff.
Black Eye Blues
Hardcore act that rules by default because they're on Deathwish Records. Worth your time.
|4|| ||Fall Of Efrafa|
Post-Metal sort of stuff with a concept based around that one story about rabbits or something. Watership Down? Pretty crazy huh?
These Are Lights
Metalcore, except it's good metalcore. Really quite good.
|6||Struck By Lightning|
Sludgy metal/hardcore type act with the vocalist from Mouth of the Architect. It's cool, some bits even sound like Mastodon.
|7||Trapped Under Ice|
Secrets Of The World
More hardcore. Also awesome.
Named after a Black Sabbath song and playing a pretty odd form of.. metallic hardcore? I don't know. It's pretty cool stuff though.
You've probably heard this but I'm just throwing it up there because I'm running out of more unknown stuff. Really, REALLY awesome hardcore/powerviolence stuff.
The Sleeping Eye
Really thrashy hardcore. They probably write better 80s thrash riffs than most bands of the 80s.
|11||Heaven In Her Arms|
Progressive screamo stuff from Japan! Yay, Japan! It's pretty interesting stuff.
Flowers From Exile
Dark neofolk stuff. I don't really know what to say, I don't really listen to stuff like this much. It sounds good to me anyway.
...To The Beat Of A Dead Horse
Pretty cool hardcore/screamo band, features guest vocals from both the vocalist of Thursday and ex-Modern Life Is War vocalist
Paranoid Delusions/Paradise Illusions
I love crazy solos in my hardcore. This is awesome.
Much, much better than the previous album. Post-rock/post-metal-ish stuff, in case you don't already know which is unlikely.
|16||Mutiny On The Bounty|
Post-hardcore a little bit like At The Drive-In (omg, ATDI!) except with more noodly guitarwork.
|17||Run With The Hunted|
Destroy All Calendars
Great little hardcore EP.
Darkness Come Alive
Metalcore-ish. Fuck it, they don't need a deion, they're called DOOMRIDERS goddamnit.
Open Up Finders, Please
Another neat little screamo release from this year. Worth your time.
Axe To Fall
RARGSDLFKJASDLKJASDLKJSDLFKJSDLFKJASDHAIERHASKDJH!!!11!1!! want. this. now. please.

|Yeah but he said spaces take the form of commas.|
|mmm...my point is that we all understood what the dude meant.|
|I'm listening to it at the moment. |
You're totally jealous, right?
|Haha, fairplay. Pianos Become The Teeth are great too.|
|3, 4, 10, and 15 rule.|
|Haha holy shit, this Pianos Become The Teeth stuff is better than I remember it, relistening to it now. It should indeed have been up here.|
|3, 7, 10, 14, 18, 19 = Win.|

|great list, checking a few of these out asap.|
|lol at saying something on deathwish entitles it to being good|
|1 HAS TO BE FUCKING AWESOME - don't know any song yet, still waiting for the vinyl to come.|
11 and 19 is definitely overlooked. good stuff. 2 is also ok, but not as good as the first album.
in terms of screamo/emo you forgot about Drownin with our Anchors, Battle of Wolf 359 and The Brass (ex-On the Might of Princes). I really dig their records.
AND: check out Litany for the Whale - Dolores. Although it's just an EP, its one of my favourite records of 2009!
|People who bash themselves in list descriptons to avoid being bashed in comments are kinda stupid. No offense.|
|good list, i'm getting a few of these now|
|didn't know 1 came out already|
|oh it's not out yet|
|Just what I'm looking for.|
