Gahtdamn, that dude has incredible vocal control |
Willie
03.05.23 | I do too. Total label and management clusterfuck from what I remember reading. I guess that's what happens when you sign to someone's vanity label. |
Sowing
03.05.23 | These guys ruled. One of only a few bands in this genre that I'd consider a true favorite. Arrows & Anchors was especially memorable, I feel like every song on that album was super memorable. I'd welcome a comeback with open arms if it were ever a realistic possibility. |

03.05.23 | Great band! |

03.05.23 | "Stowers, who had left the band in 2011, has been the only party to discuss the band stating that all he knew was that, at his time of leaving, the band had accumulated substantial debt, was without a label, and members had scattered across the entire country." - Wikipedia.
God, what a shame, man. Felt like they had so much more in them too |
YoYoMancuso
03.05.23 | ^ shit like this is why i refuse to sink an inordinate amount of money into music. One of my friends toured the entire East Coast and ended up 15K in debt. She has a sizable following too, peaked at around 400K spotify monthly listeners |
syco722
03.05.23 | That sucks so much, man. 400K monthly is actually wild, I don't know much about touring logistics but it sounds rough as hell if someone straight up loses money just trying to tour with that.
Never understood why these guys didn't explode, they sound eons better than most bands in their genre and had a genuinely unique style they carved out for themselves. |

03.05.23 | Love to see this thread. Truly under appreciated talent/band. Long live. |

Yep, label mismanagement and then when shit went south they just dropped them. |
botb
03.05.23 | Got to see em twice, they annihilated both times |
PotsyTater
03.05.23 | This is one of those bands where I can tell by the name and the album art that they are vaguely similar to something like coheed and cambia and are absolutely fucking dreadful |
Willie
03.05.23 | Very intuitive. They would definitely appeal to the same audience, but this band is more fun and less pretentious... and the singer is definitely better. |
YoYoMancuso
03.05.23 | wow 2 slaps |
PotsyTater
03.05.23 | Better singer is a good start |
syco722
03.05.23 | Definitely don't sound like Coheed, but agreed that they'd probably appeal to the same audience.
And definitely better vocalist: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5SzeMRTqPeU |

Lmao. Can confirm i relegated them to my personal coheed corner back in the day. but it’s been a long time and I’ve accepted I do like *a little* coheed. maybe this is better than I remember? |
Emim
03.05.23 | Ah yes with but a glance |
someguest
03.05.23 | They were a small part of mainstream rock's last hurrah in the late 2000s. Great band. And how dare you talk about Serj that way, Willie.
;) |
Flugmorph
03.05.23 | man...
they were something special |

03.05.23 | These 2 albums are some of the best rock albums. Wish they did more. |
anode
03.06.23 | They alright potsy but a lil out there. I’d say their saving graces are dance of the manatee, walls of Jericho and rikki tikki but each of those have elements that would dissuade most casual listeners hence their demise |
Dewinged
03.06.23 | Nothing to do with Coheed.
One of my favorite bands, wish they plotted a comeback somehow. Who knows, nostalgia is a powerful thing. |
SomeCallMeTim
03.06.23 | unfortunately this is one of those bands that was cool to listen to in high school but as time goes by repeated listens give less and less satisfaction |
PitchforkArms
03.06.23 | Yeah these records bang pretty hard and it's a bummer that nothing new is in the cards, nor live shows or anything like that. |
Zac124
03.06.23 | Rikki Tikki Tavi blew my mind when I first heard it. |
MO
03.06.23 | the greener grass and short-haired tornado are great jams |

03.06.23 | Honestly, Fables is still one of my all-timers. Favorite songs from it always fluctuate but I love the entirety of it. |

03.06.23 | i miss them too. supposedly dredg is coming back at least. |

03.06.23 | What Zac said |

03.07.23 | Ok I was wrong Arrows & Anchors is a lot of fun, great album |
