Rhcp Albums Ranked

Well, here's my views. The top 3 is seriously close, and I haven't perhaps allowed enough listens for some albums to grow on me, but hey.
1Red Hot Chili Peppers
One Hot Minute

Again and again I'm told that this album is pretty poor. Mostly by people who haven't listened to it. JUST comes out top because I feel that there isn't really anything missing from it. Best Track: Warped/My Friends
2 Red Hot Chili Peppers
Blood Sex Sugar Magick

Now, this edges out no 3 by roughly 0.01%, itself only being edged out by 1 by the same. Heavy funk, this is Frusciante's RHCP peak. It may take a few listens for new fans, but it's definitely worth it. Best Track: Under The Bridge
3Red Hot Chili Peppers
The Uplift Mofo Party Plan

This was as close as RHCP got to a breakthrough with Hillel Slovak, and easily their best album with him as well. Very underrated thanks to no Frusciante, the only thing stopping this from being higher on the list is the fact that there's just something missing... If Hillel had lived, they could have gone on to create a true masterpiece, and it's such a shame that they didn't quite make it. Best Track: Backwoods
4 Band
Mother's Milk

Frusciante, though it has been said many times, breathed fresh life into the group. It was only natural that this album would preceed the release of a masterpiece, the sound of a band very nearly succeeding to find their feet, but still not fully developed. Best Track: Higher Ground
5Band
Freaky Styley

The funkiest of their albums, this has a few truly great songs, but is slightly too much of an unstructured jam to be rated higher. Still, the ideas were there, as was Hillel's guitar. Best Track: Jungle Man
6Band
Stadium Arcadium

Some great, some mediocre. They clearly had a lot of fun making this album, but the sound is far too poppy for my liking. If there was less filler, this would be a hell of a lot better off. Best Track: Storm In A Teacup
7Band
Californication

Not too great production doesn't help this incredibly overrated album. It's not bad, but Around The World really does put me off the rest of the album, which in itself is mostly made by it's singles. However, it's still pretty good, and worth a listen every now and then. Best Track: Californication
8 Band
Red Hot Chili Peppers

Very undeveloped, mostly just a way for the guys to get themselves going. The lack of Hillel is a problem, as the demos that include him certainly prove. A few standout tracks, and really kicks off to a good start with True Men Don't Kill Coyotes. Best Track: True Men Don't Kill Coyotes
9Band
By The Way

Only 2 tracks do anything for me. The rest of it sounds like outtakes of Frusciante's solo work with a bit of funk thrown in, even the voice sounds like it was written for Frusciante. Best track: Can't Stop
