Big Week #2: Rapid Reactions

Did this a couple months ago when a lot of interesting releases fell on the same week, so here's my "1-listen-deep" take on a handful of albums that interested me.
1We Are Only Human Once
The Prettiest Boys in Town

4/5 - lo-fi indie-rock with some really great melodies and guitars
2Major Stars
Roots of Confusion Seeds of Joy

4/5 - awesome psychedelic rock; plenty of complex, hazy guitar atmospheres
3Off With Their Heads
Be Good

3.9/5 - Love the upbeat pop-punk tempo and emotion; the screams are few and far between but when he goes there I really feel it
4The Murder Capital
When I Have Fears

3.8/5 - Odd, creepy stuff...seems like something Daughters fans will dig.

3.8/5 - Solid experimental/electronic indie-pop, plenty going on here to warrant repeated listens.
6King Gizzard and The Lizard Wizard
⁣Infest The Rats’ Nest

3.7/5 - First time I've really actually been excited for a Gizzard release, this was some solid thrash with traces of sludge
7Oh Sees
Face Stabber

3.5/5 - I'm not one for instrumental bands/albums, but this ruled pretty much straight through. Love the guitars on this one too.
8Oso Oso
Basking in the glow

3.5/5 - Melodic and catchy emo/indie rock. Not sold on the guy's voice which is holding this down a bit at the moment.
9Field Mouse

3.5/5 - Gorgeous instrumentals and atmospheres, not as many hooks as I might have wanted for such a poppy vocalist
10The Hold Steady
Thrashing Thru the Passion

3.5/5 - Great but it's tough to live up to Finn's solo album this year
11Pro Teens

3.5/5 - Laid back indie-rock album; good for what it is but could have used more injections of energy - this kind of floats by in a pleasant but unimpressive fashion
The Center Won’t Hold

3/5 - Disappointing compared to the hype, but not nearly the dud a lot of people seem to be making it out to be.
A Healthy Earth

3/5 - Pleasant but forgettable indie/math rock - vocalist kind of grates on my nerves
14Friendly Fires

2.5/5 - Not really what I was expecting it to be. This is pretty much just straight up commercial pop.

2.5/5 - Same.
