06.10.18 | Moonmadness in full, what a treat. And what a pleasure to see Andy Latimer, in the flesh, still playing these songs. Their new keyboardist Pete Jones, who is blind, is a wonderful addition to the band too, also performing wonderfully on vocals and saxophone.
Altough I must say, Colin Bass' eyebrows were probably the best part of it. | Jethro42
06.10.18 | Whoa!!! I'm happy for you, Nag buddy! I've been waiting for your news about that concert. It must have been fabulous! What a playlist! I like the way they ended the show... Was Latimer in a good shape despite his somewhat recent, serious health problems? And what about Colin Bass' eyebrows...? | smaugman
06.10.18 | his eyebrows are the kind that grow outside the head, like a wizard | Nagrarok
06.10.18 | Yes, it gives him somewhat of a wizard-like appearance, so he really stood out haha. Also because he was the only one standing up during their performance. As far as I could tell, Latimer was in good shape, but he had some trouble with his back so he was sitting down. But his guitar playing certainly didn't suffer!
The setlist was indeed most satisfactory. The only thing I really missed was Never Let Go, would have absolutely loved to experience that live. But hey, how can I complain when they did Lady Fantasy for the encore? Oh boy. | Jethro42
06.10.18 | I see, you can recognize him from afar lol. | Jethro42
06.10.18 | Yeah Never Let Go would have been a killer song. I've heard couple of live versions, between others from A Live Record and the studio version remains the best one.
As for Latimer, he had to be in a good shape, with all the work he had to do there. I'm less familiar with Dust and Dreams. It's arguably the album I've listened to the least. ''Long Goodbyes'' is a pretty great ballad, but the track ''Stationary Travellers'' is the best one on the album. It's Latimer who takes all the floor there, and it's so poignant. | Totengott
06.10.18 | This must have been amazing to see in full. I just watched a video of the sax solo on Rajaz and it was stunning. | Jethro42
06.11.18 | Progheads almost all left the site since couple of years. That's why we're only a few on this thread. I'll continue to hold the prog torch nevertheless.

06.11.18 | these guys still touring? wow | Tib
07.18.18 | Loved seeing them for first time in Warsaw's Progresja. Had to fly to Poland just to see these guys live and it was worth it! Pete just fits in this band so well that these new gigs are something to see. Hopefully Andrew will get better. | e210013
09.10.18 | I was in the concert of Lisbon in the last week. And I can assure you that was amazing as we would expect. Latimer is in a very good shape despite his past health problems. The setlist was precisely the same. I saw them once, I think 40 years ago, also in Lisbon. But it was amazing to see them again after all those years. Latimer proved that Camel is a great band and he still is an awesome guitarist. Unfortunatelly, an underrated guitarist. | e210013
09.10.18 | Just one more thing. Unlike of what happened in the concert of Eindhoven, in the concert of Lisbon, Latimer has always been stand up all over the show. The only possible problem with him was perhaps with his left hand. He used something to protect it, an elastic protection for the tendons, I think, during the all live performance. He and Bass were always stand up during the all live show. |
