Underappriciated Bands

A list (imo) of bands that have been overlooked or do not get enough credit as they should already
1Wolf Parade

With their odd array of noises, sounds, and the singer sounding like a yoddlist on occasion, it's pretty unique and orginal stuff compared to some of the more generic stuff that comes out regularly. plus they're canadian egh
2I Am Kloot

Though as cheery as it may sound most the time, these guys have some good material that they put out. what definitly got me in to them was "Avenue of Hope" and it just blew me away to want more and why they weren't more defined on the music scene
3Editors

Editors are going the direction that Interpol should've gone, their sophmore album clearly more defined and still i ask people "editors are where indie is" and people give me blank expressions...so sad...
4Vedera

The one thing that keeps drawing me to this ban dis the vocalist and her amazing voice and that fact that she actually does more then just sing and looks pretty. Plus the echoing guitar work is refreshing to hear
5Professional Murder Music

I forgot how I came across these guys years and years ago, but they made some decent music for the time they were around. Little bland on some cases, but I think they should've gotten a little more of a chance with the higher ups in industrial
6Black Mountain

I saw these guys live when I went and saw Coldplay, and it was a complete amazment that a band w/ a 70's-feel kinda rock were opening for Coldplay. The album kinda holds back on their real potential, b/c live these guys rocked my face off
7Band of Horses

it's good
8The Verve

Considering they've had some good sucess, I still think that they deserve a little more credit compared to other acts of their time. They made some pretty deep/emotional stuff with Urban Hymn, and I felt like I was the only excited person when they got back together
9The Weepies

It's pretty much Iron & Wine, and i'm sure through more word-of-mouth they could catch up
10Bat for Lashes

Natasha Khan is an amazing artist, she tries and set herself apart from other female artists with her 80-synth-pop sound that doesn't sound...well, bland
11British Sea Power

Indie/Folk I say is one of the harder genres to get in to, only real band thats made it easy is My Morning Jacket, but I think BSP has a great/fimiliar sound to them that should be making people interested
12The Used

I'll probalby get some "WTF" kinda responces, but hear me out. I honestly believe the Used should be getting more credit compared to other semi-pop-punk bands. The Used have honestly tried to keep making some less-radio-friendly sounds compared to others like Good Charolette or Papa Roach. I think they really do need a little more credit for tryin to break away from the norm...but that's me
