04.03.11 | despite having two fairly breathtaking releases, i think it's safe to say deafheaven as a live act really don't even translate well on record. fucking riveting. the crowd was pretty lame though, bunch of kids trying to jock-mosh through dfhvn and ta's sets. there was no stage and jeremy had to ask the crowd to back off multiple times during their set. i would love to see them again with fewer retards in the crowd but i guess i'll take what i can get. i can say from the sound of the new songs they played, their next release is gonna be fucking great. |

04.03.11 | deafheaven is flooring for real. i've seen once before and the first time was amazing but last night was pretty fucking real shit. their vocalist is the most intense performer i've ever seen. |

04.03.11 | and i would have enjoyed TA significantly more had the crowd not been so annoying. the venue usually hosts shitty metlcore and deathcore shows so i suppose that's the crowd they draw there but it was still pretty bad. |

04.03.11 | You should man they do atmospheric/cascadian with more fury than most you're likely to hear. |

04.03.11 | I haven't really been listening to much black metal lately but when I'm back in the mood I'll check them out. |

04.03.11 | they're kinda a crossover screamo band, probably why they hit me so hard. lemme know when you check em out man |
