Every Band I've Ever Seen Live
in chronological order |
1 | This Providence
technically the first band i've ever seen live! they were great and really nice guys. i give them a lot of credit because it's hard to get the crowd pumped as an opening act. |
2 | Hit The Lights
overall, wasn't impressed. their frontman didn't really do much; i don't even remember his name. but their (bassist)? omar was pretty good. |
3 | Cute Is What We Aim For
they have really good energy live and shaant's dance moves are pretty entertaining. |
4 | Paramore
i loved paramore the first time i saw them. everyone had great energy and you could tell that they were excited to be there. |
5 | Brighten
they were good but i don't really remember much. |
6 | This Providence
dan was a free singer this time. previously he had been rooted because he had to play guitar and sing, but they got another guitarist and their stage performance is way more energetic with him moving around, plus they sounded great. |
7 | All Time Low
okay, well other than saying "fuck" so many times that the word lost all gramatical sense, they were pretty good. ATL is one of the most energetic bands i've seen and they were funny and got everyone moving. |
8 | Cute Is What We Aim For
unfortunately i wasn't able to see the whole set :( the songs i saw were at the beginning, but they seemed to be off to a good start when we had to leave and catch our train home. |
9 | Cobra Starship
opening the honda civic tour couldn't have been an easy task, especially since there were hardly any people there yet. but they did a good job and they were cool to talk to. |
10 | The Academy Is...
aaaah so exciting. they're great except i think they're more of an indoor, smaller venue type of band. |
11 | Fall Out Boy
a little over the top effects, but the performance was good. unfortunately, they're not as good live as their opening bands; they just had cool effects like pyrotechnics, videos and confetti. |
12 | Sherwood
the lead singer left something to be desired but the keyboardist made up for it completely. i especially liked when he finished playing tambourine, threw it in the air to go back to the keyboard, and then the tambourine bounced off the keyboard and hit him in the face. classic. |
13 | Armor For Sleep
they sounded good but they weren't that fun to watch. |
14 | The Academy Is...
by far the best band i have ever seen live. i love them so much more in small venues and it was seriously one of the best performances ever. plus the lighting was really cool for that tour but that's just a nice little side note. |
15 | Army of Me
their upbeat songs were really great and it was cute when their vocalist pulled a girl out of the audience and sang to her, but they only had like 2 upbeat songs. |
16 | Silversun Pickups
amazing live. they were really tight with all their cutoffs (especially their opener, "Well Thought Out Twinkles"... listen to the very end). it was definitely not what i expected. |
17 | Paramore
i liked them a lot better the first time i saw them; the whole show just felt too rehersed and like they were sick of doing the same thing over and over. plus hayley (for the first time ever) struck me as being a little cocky. |
18 | The Cab
they were a good opening band for a couple of youngins. i'd definitely go see them again. |
19 | We The Kings
sooooo goooood. and they were nice, funny guys. |
20 | Metro Station
eh. probably my least favorite. trace cyrus is super super cocky, and he really wasn't anything special at all. they just were not impressive and i don't plan on seeing them again. |
21 | Cobra Starship
all i'm saying is that my fangs will be up forevermore. |
