favorite hip hop features--part I--recent--playlist included
1Earl Sweatshirt

Hive (feat. ||Vince Staples|| & Casey Veggies) ---- ---- Vince comes in at 2:55. Despite
fucking weird ass lyrics at times, you can just imagine yourself griming through the streets to this shit. Smooth as butter.
2ASAP Ferg
Trap Lord

Lord (feat. Bone Thugs-N-Harmony) ---- ---- Ferg has the first verse, so Bone starts at
1:16. ---- Bone Thugs just goes in. I couldn't pick a single one to highlight since they all stood out so much. I guess Krazy Bone if I had to
really choose.
3Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire
Lost in Translation

The Last Huzzah! (feat. Despot, Das Racist, Danny Brown & ||El-P||) ---- ---- ---- El-P comes in at 3:42. As corn as it
say he puts the "genius" in rapgenius. just peep the link. The "theme" of his verse is just counting--each line has an ascending counting
16. Final full line is "And every time you think my fifteen minutes of fame are up I'll spit another sixteen to prove to the world I fucking
it" which is just fuckin dirrtttyyyyyy ---- All the verses in this were great, actually. But El-P's was next lev.

Aquaberry Dolphin (Feat. Mac Miller) ---- ---- yeah yeah yeah, fuck you. mac comes in
1:09. ---- i'm mainly putting this here because of how well he decides to "RiFF" his verse up--pop culturally ridiculous, strange ass flow, lazy
yet enthused. mac is definitely finally coming up.
5Lil Wayne
Tha Carter IV

6 Foot 7 Foot (feat. Cory Gunz) ---- ---- not only one of the best recent beats, but it has
some top tier cory gunz shit, and then he was never heard of again. this is actually essentially a perfect modern hip hop track, but gunz'
verse at 3:03 is oddly offbeat (both literal and figurative). his flow at the beginning is like a jammed machine gun
with no set downbeat. sucks that he never really went anywhere after this.
6Childish Gambino

Unnecessary (ft. ||Schoolboy Q and Ab-Soul||) {prod. Childish Gambino} ---- ---- I
/really/ don't fuck with Gambino. however, he def knows how to pick features (the last track on this album has fucking tina fey on it).
schoolboy starts at 1:24. lotsa people trash him because his lyrics arent the best here, but his triplet flow is top tier here. his (in)famous
"yawk yawk" ad lib is definitely at its best here (1:43). ---- ab comes in at 2:36 with a disgustingly weird beat switch. again, his flow is
great but the lyrics are dumb. much of the power of this verse comes with the beat switch and eventual rebuilding when the drums come
back at 3:04.
7Action Bronson
Saaab Stories

Strictly 4 My Jeeps (Queens Day Remix) ft. ||LL Cool J|| & Lloyd Banks ---- ---- ad libs at
0:24, verse at 0:29. ---- LL Cool J. yeah, I know, you wouldn't imagine him to bottle anyone on a current track, let alone bronsolino (who is
relatively high up nowadays in terms of "skill," I guess). his rapping here is almost as smooth and silky as those beautiful creamy abs he's
still rocking
8GOOD Music
Cruel Summer

Mercy ||2 Chainz|| ---- ---- 4:01 ad lib, 4:08 verse ---- wasn't sure whether or not to
include this, but seeing as how this was voty I would just feel dirty to not. it's technically a "feature," so fuck it. this is another case of a
verse hitting hard because of a beat switch. lots of shit about mustard or whatever, but it still manages to slap.
Cancer 4 Cure

Oh Hail No (ft. ||Mr. Muthafuckin eXquire|| & Danny Brown) ---- ---- mfn @ 1:44,
though he splits the chorus with el-p. ---- rare case where a beat switch to dope verse is actually not even the dopest verse. the "drop" for
danny's verse at 2:44 is great, but his lyrics are just terrible here. mfn machine guns his verse while still maintaining not-retarding lyrics.
10Mike Jones
Who is Mike Jones?

Still Tippin' (feat. ||Slim Thug|| & Paul Wall) ---- ---- Slim Thug @ 0:13. ---- yeah, it's
not good, but I love this fucking track. no justification, just a faux-dope verse over an almost-dope beat. ----
11Kanye West
My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy

Runaway (feat. Pusha T) ---- ---- 3:34 ---- "24/7 365 pussy stays on my mind" ----
ehh yep
12Tyler the Creator

Rusty (Featuring ||Domo Genesis|| & Earl Sweatshirt) ---- ---- 0:26 ---- domo finally
coming into his own without having to rap about weed the whole time. I'm sure the smooth ass beat doesn't hurt. ---- beat seems like it
would either take the snoop route or the...this route. glad they went with the latter.
13Childish Gambino

Toxic (ft. Danny Brown) {prod. skywlkr} ---- ---- 0:03 ---- see above regarding 'bino.
amazing beat. the drop 0:17 makes butts poop in pants. next.
14ASAP Rocky

Ghetto Symphony (feat. Gunplay & ||A$AP Ferg||) ---- ---- 3:03 ---- most people seem
hate this verse (for good reason--"these rappers is like my entrees, eat em like cookies; chips ahoy) the lyrics are fucking abysmal.
however, as an intro to ferg's flow, I can think of nothing better. ridiculous, over the top bullshit where every line could be an adlib. but idk,
that's ferg.
15ScHoolboy Q

Blind THreats (feat Raekwon) ---- ---- 3:17 ---- any verse that starts with "tuna fish
sandwiches" usually sucks, but the smooth ass chef spreading this buttery beat just makes anything work mmmm mmmm
