01.16.25 | It's been nearly four years since I made a list here. Damn. |

01.16.25 | I feel like not everyone knows it’s John Lennon doing backups on Fame by David Bowie |
SomeCallMeTim
01.16.25 | George Bush makes a guest appearance on a bunch of Ministry songs |

01.16.25 | There’s a couple hidden features on Boxer by The National. Well maybe not “hidden” but not advertised either. Sufjan Stevens plays piano on Racing Like a Pro I remember, plus a couple other vocal features I can’t quite recall who did tho |

01.16.25 | I didn’t know that Ars, that’s cool |

01.16.25 | I've listened to Hear Me so many times trying to hear Chad Kroeger's vocals and for the life of me I've never been able to hear him. I'm convinced Dev just said he was on the song for shits and giggles. |

01.16.25 | james hetfield did backing vocals on twist of cain and possession from danzig’s first album |
Masochist
01.16.25 | @DaveyMonsoon - He's definitely there. To my knowledge he's only present in the chorus part ("I'll keep mourning..."), but you can absolutely hear that trademark voice crack of his even in the background. |

01.16.25 | Mikee Goodman from SikTh is credited for adding vocal fx to Seal Jubilee by Bat for Lashes (literally just breathing into the mic to imitate the sea but yeah)
She also has Scott Walker on backing vocals for The Big Sleep.
A mega early Alison Goldfrapp vocal appearance is uncredited across Orbital's In Sides.
Mary Hopkin supplies vocals for Rachel's Song on the Bladerunner OST. Always felt she deserved the Feature tag for this.
John Martyn plays guitar on a couple of songs for Bridget St John's debut. |
Avagantamos
01.16.25 | Mikael Åkerfeldt on Edge of Sanity - Crimson
however, I've never been able to distinguish his vocals from Dan Swanö's on that album |
RogueNine
01.16.25 | Katy Perry on that one POD song. |
Dreamflight
01.16.25 | Speaking of Devin Townsend, he actually does some backing vocals on Paradise Lost's Two Worlds. |
Spec
01.16.25 | Man I still can’t hear Chad Kroeger on that song. I wish he straight up did the entire chorus by himself. |
DaveyMonsoon
01.16.25 | I feel like I hear something in the last chorus of the song alongside Devin, but it's either really faint, or Chad just happens to really sound like Devin to the point that he blends in. It doesn't really help with everything else going on, either. Not gonna lie I'd love to see Devin release stems of Hear Me just so I can hear Chad's part by itself.
... Never thought I would admit to wanting to hear Chad Kroeger in 2025, but here we are. |
Spec
01.16.25 | Makes sense. Creed is cool now so Nickelback can’t be too far behind. |

01.16.25 | hayley williams sings the kinda non-descript outro of mewithoutyou's "fox's dream of the log flume" |

01.16.25 | Mike Patton is on that one Melt-Banana song Area 877 (Phoenix Mix) from Charlie |

01.16.25 | I'm pretty sure Chad is only in the final chorus. |

01.16.25 | Vedder is on Recipe for Hate? That is actually kinda crazy. |

01.16.25 | "Makes sense. Creed is cool now so Nickelback can’t be too far behind."
I won't say Nickleback cool, but it does kind of feel like hating on them nowadays is uncool...or rather, it just comes across as an old grudge if you do because the band really isn't relevant enough in pop culture to hate on them to that degree anymore. The band is rather chill about memes and jokes poking fun at them because they understand that that's what has kept them in people's heads this long. |
Koris
01.16.25 | Pretty obvious one, but Steven Wilson on Opeth's Bleak. For what ever reason, despite being a big PT fan growing up, I didn't connect the dots and realize that was his voice until much later on
Also, 3/4 of the L7 lineup being featured on a few songs off Suffer by Bad Religion, despite never getting a feature credit. But they were signed to Epitaph at the time, so it makes sense that they would work with a band like Bad Religion |
chemicalmarriage
01.17.25 | Heard steven hawking bashed some trash cans on slipknots s/t he wore a mask and everything when they recorded the smash it's in the liner notes |
