I Wonder What's For Dinner
Oh boy! I'm so hungry, I could recommend 10 great bands very few
people listen to. |
1 | | Roy Ayers Everybody Loves the Sunshine
No, not the Weather Underground guy. He didn't have a page until today.
Shame on you all. In the grand three way of funk legends, there is James,
George and Roy. |
2 | | Cibo Matto Stereo Type A
Alright, so maybe they're a little too well known to be on a list like this, but
they still aren't as popular as they should be. |
3 | | Rodan Rusty
Yeah, I've already gushed enough about this album. Just pick it up already.
It's better than Slint... IT IS |
4 | | Black Moth Super Rainbow Dandelion Gum
Contrary to popular belief, you can totally enjoy them sober. |
5 | | Paris The Devil Made Me Do It
Shame he didn't catch on. He's somewhere between Ice-T and Public enemy |
6 | | Mercury Rev Yerself Is Steam
I always thought Marcy Playground ripped em off in some aspects |
7 | | Kitchen Of Distinction Strange Free World
Oddly enough I just finished a review of this album. What a strange
coincidence |
8 | | Esham KKKill the Fetus
Picture what ICP tries to do, now imagine they did it successfully without
sucking ass: You now have Esham. Horrorcore that has good lyrics, and is
too good for costume/makeup gimmicks. |
9 | | The Frogs Racially Yours
Somehow more odd than Ween |
10 | | Avarus III
I know it's the hip thing to like obscure bands. And the fact that I'm
recommending a Finnish Psychadelic Folk band with nearly 20 members
probably makes me come off as a pretentious hipster, but whatever. I still
haven't made up my mind as to how much I like them. |
