(people are gonna kill me for making this list!) ive either bought or downloaded these albums because either:they have been getting massive scores in reviews, heaps of awards, in lots of 'album of the year' lists or because it is the best album of that artist and have left me thinking "why is it so good?" when it wasn't. | | 1 |  | Slayer

i got this album because i love thrash and evryone loves this band and have been talkn bout em. i gotta say this album has some of the maddest and fastest riffs iv ever heard but other than that it's pretty much the same. fast playing and same(sorta) riffs. | | 2 |  | Queen

id already got the 2 best albums of the metal pioneers(machine head(deep purple) and paranoid(black sabbath)) and was amazed and wanted to get this album to complete the picture but after listening a few times over i just didn't understand why they were SO good. | | 5 |  | Metallica

Blood Mountain
after seeing this upcoming band on so many overall/metal album of the year at high positions i had to get it. this band does deserve to be in those lists awsome riffs,mad breakdowns but to me they sounded a bit wierd and all over the place but iv grown to LOVE this album. | |

04.10.07 | Yeah I agree with Mastodon and Ledzep. I think people liked blood mountain so much because mainstream metal blows these days and this was kind of a breath of fresh air I guess. I havent heard all of Zeppelin IV but I don't think I'll ever understand how so many people love Stairway so much. | clairvoyant
