| An Album For Every Season '07
Though it changes yearly, these are the albums that fit when it comes to the seasons. | 1 | | The Shins Chutes Too Narrow
I picked this album up in the spring of 2005, and still can't help but hum 'Kissing The Lipless' at the first sight of green.
Another candidate is Architecture in Helsinki's 'In Case We Die', because I bought it last spring, not knowing a thing about the band or ever hearing them. Then it never left my stereo... | 2 | | Bedouin Soundclash Street Gospels
Even though this is such a new release, I anticipate it being my summer soundtrack for years to come. Rebellious, loving, and carefree; this album was the soundtrack to late night drives, and warm nights. | 3 | | Death Cab For Cutie Transatlanticism
Grade 12 year, 2005. Drama, heartaches, distances. Transatlanticism was the background music to all of this, and the fact that every fall I listen to this album on repeat may suggest I want that O.C. aspect of life back. Or it may suggest the obvious, which is that I love this record. | 4 | | Stars Set Yourself On Fire
A tragic album dealing with heartbreak and drunk sex, mixed feelings and timeless lust. What could be more winter? A lot of things I suppose, but as with the above albums, this is one that I look forward too every winter. | |

02.03.08 | I always extol Planet of Ice as last year's definitive winter album, but anything from a BSS-related project sounds like it would fit the bill. | silverleaves
