I'm not sure if I like this more than Planet of Ice or not but it's definitely close.
Absinthe Party might be the best song of theirs I've heard, if not for Lotus.
4.2/5
I ended up liking this more than I expected. It's really solid trip-hop. I wouldn't
say there are any major standouts but it's a really entrancing listen. 4/5
One of the most massive and daunting albums I've ever listened to. I listened to
All 150 minutes of it in one shot yesterday and found a lot of it becoming
background noise. Fuck though. I'm not really sure where to rank this or even
what to rate it. I gave it a 4/5 for now but it definitely needs more listens.
Sonically impressive to say the least.
Itunes gift-card'd this one to complete my MTB collection. To be fair this hasn't
gotten as many spins because of how quickly I was able to get into HRP. It's
definitely not as "fun" an album. The second half was a lot better than the first
in my opinion. 3.7/5
I gave this one a lot of immediate attention and it's grown on me. The whole
Road Salt project pales in comparison to their first six albums though,
unfortunately. Still, The Physics of Gridlock is a great song and there isn't really
any bad material, it's just a little unremarkable. Daniel sounds fantastic. 3.2/5
I just watched a review for Lift Your Skinny Fists online and the reviewer compared Godpseed to Swans...very interesting coincidence. Is that why you asked?
