| My Favourite Guitar Solos
It's always good to have your opinions voiced. This is my opinion on what are the greatest solos ever. No crap here. | 1 | Pink Floyd Comfortably Numb
If you can find a more emotional, technical guitar solo then I suggest you message me or something, I'd love to hear it. | 2 | Van Halen Eruption
Amazing stuff, more accurately described as 'Eddie going crazy and making beautiful sounds'. | 3 | Megadeth Hangar 18
This song wows me every time. The way that they can keep the speed and technicality on this level for the time that they do, is mind-boggling to me. | 4 | Buckethead Jordan
Phenomenal guitarist. Capable of any style, be it hard rock, jazz or psychedelic. For this song he opts more for techno and the result is incredible. | 5 | Lynyrd Skynyrd Free Bird
You've all heard it. You know why it's here. | 6 | Dragonforce Through The Fire And The Flames
Insane guitarists. Being able to strum faster than the speed of light does have it's advantages. | 7 | X Japan Art Of Life
Greatest. Song. Ever. The speed, technicality, co-ordination and general amazing-ness all combine to make a record that is so good it's unreal. | 8 | Jessica Allman Brothers Band
Dickey Bett's excels himself here. Layers and good tone combine to creat greatness. | 9 | Rush YYZ
Not just a guitar solo here. You also get impressive bass and drum solos. All the musicians unique virtuosic talents combine to make a very interesting listen. | 10 | The Spoons The Brotherhood
A small band that's growing fast. When you hear this solo, it's easy to see why. I recommend their myspace: www.myspace.com/thespoonsuk | |

04.06.07 | Did you happen to play guitar hero before making this list? | clairvoyant
04.06.07 | hahahah
| Ire
04.06.07 | rofl | TheHamburgerman
04.06.07 | Meh, it needs some Insomnium, Opeth and Machine Head, In my eyes the best solo-creators ever. | Monticello
04.06.07 | Yeah......I did.
Is that a bad thing?
The only album I'm familiar with out of all of them is Machine Head's 'Through The Ashes....', and while the songs on there do generally rock ass, the solos aren't amazing, except maybe on 'Descend the shades of night' (love that song).

04.07.07 | these are good tho dont get me wrong | scpttrerulz
04.07.07 | I think the High Hopes solo is much better than Comfortably Numb (even though its on Hawaiian guitar)... but one of my bands' guitarists actually does the thing on guitar using a slide... great stuff | samthebassman
04.07.07 | second walk - john frusciante | rattlehead42147
05.18.07 | not to try to be cool, but eruption is also fun to play. ive been playing guitar for 3 years and it took me all of that time to actually get down a version of it that i was proud of. however when i put the cd in, EVH leaves me behind :) | DoctorSpaceman
06.29.20 | some real facemelters here dude | MrSirLordGentleman
