Shows of 2015

broke for most of the year. broke now. fuck it. this is how i rocked in 2015
1Sleep
Sleep's Holy Mountain

sleep and windhand - the masquerade, atlanta. didnt go to a show til may but it was worth the wait, fuckin killer. sold out show and lots of people there who probably only listen to stoner shit but i cant complain, nice change up from the usual super-smelly macho metal crowd. chick from windhand was sexy and they sound pretty damn good, standard doom shit though. sleep was the real deal. i was baked but the buzz was wearin off - sleep came out and got me higher. spiritual and moving i was transported through time by pike's nasty ass sweat and al's burrito farts.
2Rush
R40 Live

rush - verizon wireless amphitheatre, atlanta. do i even need to describe this fuckin shit? xanadu. jacobs ladder. roll the bones with trailer park boys. lakeside park...anthem. if you werent there, youre a fuckin idiot. i hope rush decide to bring this over to england sometime for the sake of my buddy KILL but lets be honest - this is a good time to go out. dont want rush becoming the rolling stones. i mean how can they top such a grand finale (pun intended) as this? fuckin great. sadly peart's been itchin to retire since he was like 35 so now that his ass is nearly twice that he aint gonna play drums ever again... i guess portnoy can join these fucks and take the rock over to the UK so KILL can hear hemispheres prelude live
3Melvins
Hold It In

melvins and le butcherettes, exit-in, nashville TN. my buddy nick is a huge melvins nut, he's been to 10 shows and posts on their forum and shit (so do i but im not as obsessed). anyway he was expressing interest in going so i said fuck it, always down for a melvins show. cheap as hell and they deliver. le butcherettes aint my style but they were fun and teri gender bender is really friendly, we talked about kate bush after the show. melvins delivered as always but their set felt like it was 30 minutes, not as good as the 2013 show with 2 drummers, not as good as buzzo's solo acoustic show either, but it was sweet. cant wait to see em with napalm death in april
4GWAR
Scumdogs of the Universe

gwar, butcher babies - track 29, chattanooga TN. butcher babies was truly one of the worst live acts ive ever seen and gwar's dumbfuck scene kid fanbase ate those dumbasses up like they were the fuckin beatles. me and johnny were standin totally still in a hall filled with false fuckin posers with neon outfits flailin around like headless chickens, except headless chickens have better taste. anyway so i endured these dumbass bitches jumpin on trampolines to chuggy queef riffs. GWAR comes out and they were fun, i got jizzed on and blood and all that shit and the old classics still sound sweet but oderus is dead and they really arent funny anymore. i mean it was worth going, gwar 30 minutes from your house is a deal but get better writers and get a better opening act. i mean my dad saw the melvins open for gwar in 92 and that was prolly 8 dollars, i paid 25 to see gwar make fun of cell phones and kanye west to keep up with the times
5Ozric Tentacles
Strangeitude

ozric tentacles and the mantras, terminal west, atlanta ga. killer fuckin show. killer. lots of hippies, good vibe, didnt stink too bad. lots of old proggers and fusion nuts, saw a test for echo shirt and a crimson discipline t. the mantras were pretty boring, theyre just some jam band, really talented musicians but the jams go nowhere for too long, they did cover king crimson's thela hun ginjeet which was cool. anyway those guys got off stage and i move up front for ozric, ozric was spacey and fuckin wild, lots of old shit and new shit. met the whole band afterwards, nice people
6Mayhem
Live in Leipzig

mayhem/watain/rotting christ - masquerade, atlanta. probably my last show of the year unless i go to high on fire/crowbar next week (still a maybe) but man this was pretty fun. now the openers werent too great uhh. these dudes before rotting christ, im guessing a local band, but god they were horrible. they even got heckled. some dick in a gay costume is bangin on shit, some dude was fuckin DJing makin dubstep noises while some hot chick played guitar like a retard. very terrible "experimental" music. stick to satan and vikings and winter you fools. remember KISS started black metal anyway and remember what their name stands for :D. anyway so rotting christ comes out, they remind me of like, amon amarth. it was fun but not somethin i'd listen to, bit too skyrim-y for me. watain is gay but they were pretty entertaining, im pretty sure their singer was on american idol or some shit and decided to do black metal instead cause he's one flamboyant guy. mayhem was true as fuck.
