Howard Hamlin (Better Call Saul spoilies)

...just had to suffer one more indignity. (Well, several, I suppose.) They really did my boy dirty. Anyways, list is concerts I'm going to through the end of July in order to take my mind off things.
1No Devotion
Permanence

Playing Das Ottobar 7/14 (hey, that's tomorrow wooohooo!): Glad to see this wasn't just a one-off, and though it seems highly improbable the myhtical new album will have materialized within the next 24 hours, pumped to see them regardless.
2Jeremy Enigk
Return of the Frog Queen

Opening for No Devotion. Kind of a strange pairing, but I guess this is the Hey, Let's Talk About Something Else Tour. Never got as much into his solo stuff as Sunny Day, but definitely excited to see him in this setting, definitely a more intimate space than you'd catch SD these days. (Also opening is Nate Bergman, whom I don't really know at all.)
3Alexisonfire
Otherness

Playing The FIllmore Silver Spring 7/22: Was excited to nab these tickets on sale a couple months ago, but also a bit nervous since I did so before the album dropped. Now that it has, I'm even MORE excited. (No openers announced, at least that I've seen.)
4Lucy Dacus
Home Video

Playing Ram's Head Live 7/25: Rescheduled show from earlier this year, very glad it's finally happening. She really has gotten better and better with each album, and Home Video definitely grew its way into my personal top ten of last year, so glad to round out my live viewing of the boygenius contributors.
5Samia
The Baby

Opening for Lucy Dacus; like Nate Bergman, another act I'm not all that familiar with, but def will be interested to watch with an open mind.
6Coheed and Cambria
Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind

Playing The Anthem on 7/26: Back-to-back show with Lucy Dacus, which...I'm not as young as I once was, so not ideal (already took off the next day haha, so at least there's that), but when the time coes, ya gotta 'Heed the call (see what I did there?). Good timing here, at least, in the sense that just got my box set in the mail, uh, yesterday. Gonna blast The Aftermen and Vol. 1 as prep alongside it (I already know everything prior to those by heart, so no need, and Color Before the Sun is best avoided).
7Dance Gavin Dance
Jackpot Juicer

Oh snap, psych!
8Alkaline Trio
From Here to Infirmary

Opening for Coheed (and replacing DGD): I truthfully never got super into these guys back in the day, but my partner very much was, so this tour lineup maneuver was definitely trading up as far as she's concerned.
9Mothica
Nocturnal

Also opening for Coheed, and yet another band I don't really know. Last time I went to the Anthem, the line was such that even getting there at doors, we ended up missing the first opener altogether, so I at least won't be heartbroken if that happens again here, even if I pray it doesn't.
10mewithoutYou
[Untitled]

Playing Baltimore Soundstage 7/31: I'm always a bit skeptical when a band this "young" (relatively speaking, I guess) announces a retirement, but hey, any excuse to see a career-spanning set by these masters is good enough for me. Was hoping we'd get a "final" EP out of the bargain, as well, but no such luck, it seems, and they went out on a damn fine swan song as it is. Anyways, I'll also be there for the reunion tour in 5-10 years.
11Why?
AOKOHIO

Opening for mwY, I'm dimly aware of this band, will have to do a little more homework in the next couple weeks. Holding out hope for a second opener, as well, but we shall see; if it means a longer set time from the headliner, fully okay with that.
