Still catching up on a lot of what I slept on in 2019 (and sure there'll be plenty more once the Users' Lists drop), but January's shaping up to be a pretty solid month in its own right. List is what I'm excited for over the next month or so--definitely feel free to chime in with any January release y'alls are hyped for.
There Is No Year
Just recently found out this was dropping; if it lives up to their discography to date, should be an immense way to kick off the new year.

X: The Godless Void and Other Stories
Glad this band is still kickin', especially in the wake of the way they handled the controversy from a couple years back.
This Is Called Survival
Hard copy's not out until February, but should hopefully be another set of lean and mean Jason Butler goodness.
Yeah yeah, buttrock yada yada, but at least our boy Ben's got a distinctive set of pipes. Plus, one of the few bands in this genre who don't totally embarrass themselves in their lower-key moments ("Rain," "Forget It"); still, would've been nice to get at least one song from Saturate in the mix, but whatever. Forget it.
If I Am Only My Thoughts
Credit to Sowing on this one.
When We Stay Alive
The Fallen Crimson
About damn time, nahmsayin'?
I Let It In And It Took Everything
As it happens, just got around to The Cold Sun last year, so hey! Great accidental timing, me! High five!
|Dunno why 4's artwork isn't showing, and after I took those two whole minutes of pain and toil adding it to the database.|
