| Best Albums Of 2009
There were quite a few albums that came out this year that I liked, but these six stood out ahead of the crowd. These are my favorite albums from the year so far.. | | 1 |  | fun.
Aim and Ignite
Probably the album that caught me most off guard. Came out of nowhere, but I can't stop listening to it. Every song has it's own attitude. Truly dynamic pop. | | 2 |  | Brand New
Daisy
I thought this would be my album of the year, but it got narrowly beaten out. My only problem with this album is that it's too short. If I have to wait at least 3 years between Brand New albums, I want more. | | 3 |  | Animal Collective
Merriweather Post Pavilion
Animal Collective's catchiest album yet. Great great album, only thing that bothers me is I'm afraid they're gonna move away from instruments more and keep pursuing this electronic sound. That aside, one of the best of the year. | | 4 |  | Matt and Kim
Grand

Humbug
I was really looking forward to this album, and while I really enjoyed it, the Arctic Monkeys lost some of their charm with this release. Lyrics are a weakness, but still a great album. | | 6 |  | Silversun Pickups
Swoon
Silversun Pickups knew what they did right on their first album, so they didn't make much of an effort to change the formula for their second. I'm glad they left it the same. | |
