oh btw, i will be doing my fav 100 albums list soon. im just making a few decisions then ill be done. |
1 | | Abbie Gale 2
a very intimate and talented indie/electronica band from Greece. lovely vocals and lyrics |
2 | | Agenda of Swine Waves of Human Suffering
grindcore |
3 | | Bilocate Sudden Death Syndrome
fucking sick death/doom metal |
4 | | Camille Le Fil
french pop singer that can sing with talent, but still be cute and catchy |
5 | | Captain Cleanoff Symphonies of Slackness
more grindcore |
6 | | Carla Bruni Comme Si De Rien N'?tait
extremely chill french folk music. her vocals will put you to sleep but in a good way |
7 | | Clearwater Deathblow Parasite Cleansing
even more grindcore. bit a bit more on the deathgrind side |
8 | | Coven Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls
ok so this album came out in 1969. its female sung psychedelic rock, but the twist is that the lyrics are all satanic. hell, the last song isnt even a song, its a satanic ritual/speech. the music itself is great and sounds like regular rock from that time period. the lyrics are evil! but their next two albums dropped those lyrics and did radio friendly stuff |
9 | | Desiderii Marginis That Which Is Tragic And Timeless
beautiful mix of dark ambient and neo-folk music. some of the best |
10 | | Dozer Beyond Colossal
one of the best hard rock albums to come out in 2008. they mix in some heavier stoner metal riffs but overall this album is crushing. do yourself a favor and listen to the song Exoskeleton Pt. 2 |
11 | | Flagitious Idiosyncrasy In The Dilapidation Flagitious Idiosyncrasy In The Dilapidation
an all female japanese grindcore band. what? oh yeah my friend, and guess what....they kick some ass. they smash most other grindcore bands as if they were tiny ants. |
12 | | Flowing Tears Thy Kingdom Gone
gothic metal. i like the vocal style, its a bit different then most other gothic metal bands |
13 | | Gorath Misotheism
great black metal in case you are looking for some since not much great black metal has come out recently. |
14 | | Gored Human
a grindcore band from Germany. musically this is heavy as balls and is very technical (mixing in some sludgy stuff as well). the vocals are weird. it will take some time to getting used to, but once you get over them this album is a gem. very unique and imaginative in a somewhat stale genre |
15 | | Grotesque Through Incoherence One Thousand Blasting Words
a somewhat experimental grindcore band. good stuff. yeah ive been on the look out for good grindcore |
16 | | Havok Apathy Esplanade
this EP is a killer dose of death metal. very talented band, but i havent heard many good things about their new full length. this EP however should be listened to by any death metal fan |
17 | | Jane Birkin Di Doo Dah
a french pop singer from the 70's. a sexy cover for a sexy album |
18 | | Jex Thoth Jex Thoth
a psychedelic/traditional doom band with female vocals. for fans of Blood Ceremony and Universe217 |
19 | | Kate Miller-Heidke Little Eve
cute, poppy album. some songs are a little too cute but a refreshing album |
20 | | Loreena McKennitt An Ancient Muse
a new age singer. very Enya-esque stuff. i like her use of Celtic music |
21 | | Mountain Mirrors Mountain Mirrors
acoustic folk group with very dark lyrics. songs such as Stay Evil and Demon's Eye are some examples. similar to Scott Kelly and Steve Von Till's solo albums |
22 | | Nominon Terra Necrosis
solid death metal |
23 | | Planes Mistaken For Stars Mercy
this band is commonly labeled as post-hardcore, but i dont really hear it. mostly sludgy hardcore stuff. vocals arent great but worth looking into. Cocaine likes it so it must be good |
24 | | The Reasoning Dark Angel
artwork wouldnt upload for some reason. pretty good prog rock with female vocals. |
25 | | Shocking Blue At Home
after first listen this quickly became a favorite. amazing rock music from 1969. perfect female vocals that i dont think have been matched by any other female artist in the rock industry. the instrumentals are so fucking good as well. this band were the original band that sang the Im Your Venus, Im Your Fire, Your Desire song. but this version is awesome |
26 | | Terminal Youth Line of Defense
another album that i couldnt get the album art for. face smashing crust punk |
27 | | Valravn Valravn
read my soundoff for this. Bjork esque vocals, with a multi-instrumental backup band that play a lot of traditional folk music from their homeland. this album is breathtaking |
28 | | Venomous Concept Poisoned Apple
pretty good punk/grind. |
29 | | Vira Recurrence EP
solid deathcore (similar to bands like Oblige and Glass Casket) |
30 | | Zo? Avril Zo? Avril
very very cute french folk/pop singer |
