@Wretched: You're right. I listen to stuff at work all the time, so that's usually five to ten spins a day. Sometimes it's all different jams, sometimes it's the same two or three releases on repeat.
Whenever I find something that clicks, I spend more time with it in my leisure time. I've listened to most of those top 30 or so albums and EPs countless times by now, everything else multiple times.
That said, this list isn't exactly ranked. Top 25 might be close, but there's still some good dm coming up. There's likely stuff in the "lower" half that should be in the top 50 and vice versa. Actually ranking 100 items of anything sounds like hell. |

Two songs to see if you like the general sound a band/album has to offer? Absolutely. Two songs to properly rate, let alone rank an album? Hell no. Unless it's truly a$$, I guess.
If you have like one hour of free time per day to spend on listening to music, I can see how checking out hundreds, even thousands of albums a year would be a foreign concept. |
