Ultha records ranked

Ultha got a lot more attention in the wide world with their album 'All That Has Never Been True' in 2022 although they are an already longer existing band. And the thing is, that not only this album is highest black metal quality but also absolutely ALL of their other releases. Therefore Ultha is my overall Top 3-band ever. I am loving the band for long time now, saw them live a lot and they deserve beeing my first band ranking list. I highly recommend listening to everything they put out.
Converging Sins

Bigger things got started with this one in germany. Maybe this is their most straight forward album and their strongest fist in the stomach. Until today my favorite one.

+ most streamlined straight forward one
The Inextricable Wandering

This is their most epic and post metal one. You will find a lot interesting things in the wall of sounds here.

+ most epic and post metal one
All That Has Never Been True

I have my problems with this fantastic album because i wanna love it even more. It is their most horrifying, twisted and all-rounded one.

+ most horrifying, twisted and overall best-of-their-sound one

This 40min EP consisting of 2 songs is their most raw, cascadian and darkest release. Feels like a trip to your inner hell.

+ most raw sounding, cascadian and darkest one
Pain Cleanses Every Doubt

Fantastic dark debut album on which a self-confident band is looking for their own way between scandinavian and us black metal paths.

+ most spontaneous and pure one
Floors of Heaven

Small 7inch with too more focused ultra-short Ultha songs.

+ Ultha can do shorter black metal songs, too
Forget Everything And Remember (The Lost And Obscu

Out of competition here is this fine collection of EP and cover songs. Of course there is not much coherence and a little bit experimentation here but really all songs are without exception fantastic.

+ most experimental one
