Genre Exploration: Post-Hardcore

Sept 1st - 7th: All albums came as recs from Uzumaki Lists. I hope to complete each album and provide brief summaries and rating but I just have to see how the days go.
1Fear Before
The Always Open Mouth

Its hard for me to quantify how I feel about this album. It was a different listening experience than I'm use to. It reminds me of the Refused, "The Shape of Punk To Come" as for as the sonic experience goes; sort of like a therapy session that results in a break through, though you don't know how to apply the new knowledge.
2Amia Venera Landscape
The Long Procession
3The Bled
Pass the Flask
4Casey
Where I Go When I Am Sleeping
5This Day Forward
The Transient Effects of Light on Water

This was a welcomed surprise. From the instrumentation, to the vocals, to the intensity of the songs. This was one hell of a ride from beginning to end. This is, even with my limited exposure to the genre, what I expect to hear when I think of a post-hardcore, metalcore album. I'd currently give this album a 3.9 out of 5 due to the screamo style vox becoming a bit tiresome after a few songs and the songs feeling a bit short.
6As Cities Burn
Son, I Loved You At Your Darkest
7Forever Is Forgotten
The Architecture Is Still Burning
