Best albums with black and white covers

There are a lot of albums with black and white covers. Tell me your favourite one and I'll add it to the list.
1Asap Rocky

Haven't heard from this guy since he spun around and threw that dude like Mario throwing Bowser in Super Mario 64. He's not a great rapper or vocalist, but his music is infectiously catchy.
2Beach House

Best Beach House?

4Beach House
Thank Your Lucky Stars

Not the best Beach House
5Ben Howard
I Forget Where We Were

Ben could have kept making the same type of music he made for his debut throughout his whole career and done well for himself. The fact that he took it in a much less commercial and more atmospheric direction is cool.
6Billy Joel
The Stranger

How do you not like this at least a little bit, come on

When this hits, it's my favourite album ever
Strange Desire

Big choruses. Very big choruses
9Bruce Springsteen
Born to Run

10th album on the list and I haven't even gotten past B yet, kinda concerning
10Carly Rae Jepsen
Dedicated Side B

Obligatory Carly placement
You Won't Get What You Want

Sounds like pure chaos and terror in the form of music. Like walking in on your wife cheating on you with your boss while Godzilla fuckin destroys the city around you
Halcyon Digest

How much commercial success did Deerhunter sacrifice with this album cover? lol
13Explosions in the Sky
The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

Actually really enjoyable idk if I should say that out loud on here though
Take The Kids Off Broadway

I'll allow that splotch of yellow cause this album is sick and there's nothing quite like it. Has a lot of old school influences but also has a distinctly modern sound.
15Gang of Youths
Go Farther in Lightness

Maybe the most emotionally impactful album I've ever heard
16The Gaslight Anthem
The '59 Sound

Get fucked Pika and Ryus and whoever else
17Julia Holter
Have You In My Wilderness

Shoutout to PorcupineTheatre for showing me this, has a very unique quality to it, can't pinpoint it. Her voice maybe.
18Kendrick Lamar
To Pimp a Butterfly

Considered one of the best rap albums ever and always will be, for good reason
19Lost In The Trees
Past Life

Haven't heard this in forever but Past Life is a near perfect song
20Mac Miller

The template for how to do a posthumous album correctly
21Mac Miller

Mac's best album. He was so smooth.
22Manchester Orchestra
A Black Mile to the Surface

Intensely atmospheric, with powerful arrangements that somehow never come across as corny or overblown.
23The Menzingers
On the Impossible Past

Pop punk perfection
24Mimicking Birds

One of the best indie folk albums ever. Very atmospheric and psychedelic, really gives off that ancient, otherworldly vibe. Night Light is one of my favourite songs ever.
25Mongol Horde
Mongol Horde

Played this for two of my friends in high school once. One of them grabbed my friend's dumbbell and started ferociously curling it as a joke. Then he set it down on the kitchen counter, and it rolled off and made a massive dent in the hardwood floor my friend's dad had just installed a couple weeks earlier. He was super pissed, but not as pissed as Frank on this album.
26The Mountain Goats
All Eternals Deck

In the running for best Goats, along with Goths and All Hail West Texas
27The National

What can I even say about The National that hasn't been said already
28The National
Trouble Will Find Me

I will say this cover is atrocious though
29Playboi Carti
Die Lit

The definition of dumb fun
Soft Opening

Just look at that artwork. Beautiful.

Mabu though
32Roddy Ricch
Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial

One of the most talented vocalists to break into the mainstream of rap in a long time. Album is definitely not a 2.9, songs like Intro, The Box, High Fashion and Prayers to the Trap God are all excellent.
33The Roots
Things Fall Apart

Rest in peace Malik B
34Sigur Ros
( )

We get it Jonsi you sat alone

Cool band. Their previous album is a lot better though.
Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga

37Sunlight Ascending
All the Memories, All at Once

Obscure enough that you can maybe get away with liking it on Sputnik even though it's post rock
38The Tallest Man on Earth
The Tallest Man on Earth

The folk goat
39The Tallest Man on Earth
When the Bird Sees the Solid Ground

Underrated EP
40Tigers on Trains

Indie folk perfection, has everything you could ask for
41Titus Andronicus
The Monitor

It would take someone smarter and better at writing than me to convey why this is so good
42Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers

Tom Petty is one of the best and most prolific songwriters of all time. RIP
The Joshua Tree

Remember when Apple forced that U2 album onto everyone's phones? wtf was that lol
A Quick Fix of Melancholy

Little Blue Bird >>>
With Light And With Love

Perfect spring/summer album

On The Rvn
