Bands I've recently discovered (last 5 months)
1Opeth
Sorceress

I discovered them through the Era music video. Admittedly, I have struggled to get into their earlier stuff, but I love their later stuff.
2Electric Six
Fire

Fire in the disco! Fire in the Taco Bell!

Seriously, Danger! High Voltage absolutely blew me away the first time I heard it.
3Trivium
The Sin and the Sentence

One lyric: 'You condemn me because you don't understand me'.

The title track of Sin and the Sentence is another song that blew me away the first time I heard it. I've loved Trivium ever since.
4Candlemass
The Door To Doom

This album was my first experience with Doom Metal and every track blew me away.
5The Moody Blues
Days of Future Passed

The album's a masterpiece and it introduced me to The Moody Blues. Of course, I already knew Justin Hayward through Jeff Wayne's War of the Worlds.

Search for the Lost Chord is another masterpiece.
